Exylon Orion is a broad-spectrum herbicide containing Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC that targets a wide range of weeds such as broadleaf and grassy weeds. Pump dose: Use 15 to 18 ml per 15-litre knapsack pump for general application. Water Volume: Use 150 to 200 litres of water per acre for uniform soil coverage.
Prepare the field with a fine, moist seedbed — pre-emergence herbicides work best on well-tilled, weed-free soil.
Shake the Orion bottle well before opening to mix the active ingredient evenly.
Wear gloves and a face mask before measuring the product.
Measure the right quantity using a marked cup or syringe.
Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and pour in the measured product slowly.
Add the remaining water and stir until the solution looks uniform.
Use a flat-fan nozzle for herbicide application — never a hollow-cone insecticide nozzle.
Spray uniformly over the soil surface, avoiding overlap. Do not disturb the soil surface after spraying, as it breaks the herbicide film.
The best time to use Exylon Orion Herbicide is at the pre-emergence stage — within 0 to 3 days after sowing or transplanting, when the soil is moist, but weed seedlings have not yet emerged. For transplanted onion and rice, wait until 3 to 5 days after transplanting so the crop roots settle before spraying. Apply Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC herbicide during calm weather in the early morning or late evening, avoiding hot midday hours. Do not spray on dry, cracked soil — a moist soil surface gives much better results. Avoid heavy rain within 24 hours of application, as it may wash the herbicide layer.
Frequency: Only 1 pre-emergence spray per crop cycle — do not repeat the same herbicide in the same season on the same crop.
Re-Entry Period: Wait at least 24 hours after spraying before re-entering the treated field without protective clothing.
Compatibility: Orion herbicide is best used alone as a stand-alone pre-emergence spray. Avoid tank-mixing with insecticides or fungicides, as most weed sprays work best without other actives interfering. For any planned tank-mix, always run a jar test first.
Wear hand gloves, face mask, and protective eyewear while handling the product.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or spraying.
Spray downwind and keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields.
Wash hands and exposed body parts with soap and water after use.
Use a separate sprayer for herbicides — never use the same sprayer that was used for insecticides or fungicides on the crop, as residues can damage the plants.
In case of accidental ingestion, contact a doctor immediately with the product label.
Store Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC herbicide in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
