The Pheromone lure attracts insects and pests naturally, without the use of harmful solutions. The pheromone lure effectively captures pests in the funnel, and they die after being submerged in the liquid beneath. The Chipku pheromone lure is designed for continuous 24/7 operation with a field life of 60+ days, making it a long-lasting and low-maintenance pest control solution for farmers. Funnel traps are resistant to heat and rain conditions, making them last for a longer period.
Key Features and Benefits of Chipku Funnel Trap:
Long-lasting: The Chipku pheromone lure remains active and effective in the field for over 60 days, significantly reducing the frequency of lure replacement.
Target-Specific Action: This funnel trap uses a species-specific Spodoptera litura pheromone lure that only attracts the target pest, such as harmful male moths, without affecting beneficial insects, pollinators, or other organisms in the field.
Eco-Friendly: The Chipku pheromone lure captures pests naturally without the use of any chemical insecticides or toxic sprays, making it safe and environmentally friendly to use.
Weather-Resistant: The funnel trap is built to withstand harsh outdoor conditions including heat, heavy rain, and strong winds, ensuring reliable and long-lasting performance.
Easy Installation: The Chipku funnel trap is simple to assemble and install in the field without any tools or special skills, making it accessible and user-friendly for farmers.
How to Use Chipku Funnel Trap:
Take the top and bottom parts of the funnel trap and assemble them together.
Open the Chipku Phero lure packet carefully and place the lure in the center of the top cover of the funnel trap.
Make one knot at the end of the string attached to the bottom of the funnel trap.
Attach the top and bottom parts of the funnel trap securely and tie the assembled trap to a wooden stake or bamboo stick at the recommended height above the crop canopy.
Add a small quantity of water or soap solution to the bottom collection cup to trap and drown the captured insects.
Install 4 to 6 funnel traps per acre across the field, spacing them evenly for maximum coverage.
Check the trap weekly, remove captured insects, and replace the pheromone lure after 60 days or as needed.
Care and Maintenance:
Check the funnel trap weekly and remove accumulated insects from the collection cup to maintain trapping efficiency.
Replace the Chipku Phero lure every 60 days or sooner if the lure loses its scent or effectiveness.
Clean the funnel trap body and collection cup with clean water periodically to prevent buildup of debris and dead insects.
Store unused pheromone lure sachets in a cool, dry place — preferably in a refrigerator — to preserve their effectiveness until use.
Replace the water or soap solution in the collection cup regularly to maintain effective trapping performance.
