Adama Galigan is a selective, broad-spectrum herbicide that is effective against a wide range of weeds like broadleaf, grassy, and others. It offers strong contact action, working as a cell membrane disruptor that breaks down chlorophyll production and cell membrane integrity of the weed. The Adama Galigan herbicide is highly versatile and causes rapid weed destruction while being safe to use.
Highly Versatile: Adama Galigan herbicide can be used as a pre-plant, pre-emergent, or post-emergent herbicide, making it very versatile.
Rapid Weed Destruction: Galigan herbicide breaks down chlorophyll production and cell membrane integrity in the weed.
Prolonged Control: Adama Galigan herbicide has prolonged residual activity in the soil, ensuring long-lasting protection.
Broad-Spectrum: Adama Galigan controls both broadleaf and grassy weeds, including Chenopodium album, Amaranthus viridis, etc.
Safe For Crops: Galigan herbicide is selective, as it targets weeds while having no adverse effects on the crops.
Galigan Herbicide Uses cover broadleaf and grassy weed control across all registered crops:
Broadleaf Weeds: Chenopodium album (Bathua), Amaranthus viridis (Pigweed), Eclipta alba (Bhringraj), Borreria hispida
Grassy Weeds: Digitaria spp. (Crabgrass), Imperata spp. (Thatch Grass), Paspalum spp.
Registered Crops: Onion, Tea, Potato, Groundnut, Paddy (Rice)
Also Used On: Garlic, Sugarcane, and other vegetables and fruit tree inter-rows
The Galigan Herbicide Dosage Per Litre is 0.85–2 ml per litre of water — varying by crop and application type.
Crop | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | Application Type |
|---|---|---|---|
Onion | 170–340 ml | 12.75–25.5 ml | Pre-emergence after sowing |
Potato | 170–340 ml | 12.75–25.5 ml | Pre-emergence after planting |
Groundnut | 170–340 ml | 12.75–25.5 ml | Pre-emergence after sowing |
Tea | 260–400 ml | 19.5–30 ml | Directed post-emergence between rows |
Paddy | 260–400 ml | 19.5–30 ml | Pre-emergence or early post-emergence |
Read the label fully before mixing and applying Galigan herbicide.
Wear protective gloves, clothing, and a face mask throughout handling and application.
Measure the required dose as per the crop in the dose table above.
Add the measured quantity of Adama Galigan to the half-filled sprayer tank, then fill to the required volume with clean water and mix well.
For pre-emergence application, add a compatible sticker or spreader to improve soil surface coverage and residual activity.
Apply uniformly across the soil surface — for pre-emergence use, the spray must cover the soil completely for the chemical barrier to form properly.
For early post-emergence use, apply when weeds are at the 2–3 leaf stage only — Galigan herbicide becomes less effective as weeds grow larger.
Do not spray in windy conditions or when rain is expected within a few hours — drift onto crop leaves, or washoff will cause crop damage.
Apply Adama Galigan in the early morning or late evening on a calm day. For pre-emergence applications, ensure there is adequate soil moisture at the time of spraying — minimal rain or irrigation after application activates the residual effect of Galigan herbicide.
Frequency of Application: One pre-emergence application per season is typically enough given the prolonged residual activity of Adama Galigan. For fields with high weed pressure, a second directed early post-emergence spray may be applied when weeds are at the 2–3 leaf stage.
Re-Entry Period: Keep people and animals away from treated fields until the spray has fully dried. Follow label instructions on re-entry timing.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Galigan herbicide is compatible with most pre-emergent herbicides and insecticides. Do not mix with alkaline products. Always do a jar test before combining with unfamiliar inputs. Rotate Adama Galigan with products from different HRAC groups to avoid weed resistance build-up.
Avoid spray drift onto crop leaves — direct contact will cause scorching on the crop.
Do not apply during high wind or when rain is expected within a few hours.
Use only in the registered crops at the recommended dose and timing.
Wear gloves, a face mask, and protective clothing throughout mixing and spraying.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke while using Galigan herbicide.
Avoid spray drift near water bodies, fish ponds, rivers, and non-target plants — Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC is toxic to aquatic organisms.
Keep Adama Galigan away from children, animals, food, and water sources.
For agricultural use only.
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after every application session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
Store Adama Galigan in its original sealed container in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Keep tightly sealed after use.
Keep away from food, animal feed, and seeds.
Store out of reach of children and farm animals.
