Tembotrione 34.4% SC is a selective post-emergence herbicide recommended for the control of broadleaf and grassy weeds in maize. Its active ingredient, Tembotrione, belongs to the Tri-ketone group and functions by inhibiting the enzyme 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD). This herbicide is known for its effectiveness at low application rates, making it a more ecologically sustainable option for weed management.

Mode of Action:

Tembotrione 34.4% SC works by inhibiting the enzyme 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD). This inhibition disrupts the weed’s ability to synthesize essential pigments, leading to its death. The herbicide is highly selective, targeting broadleaf and grassy weeds while being safe for maize crops. It is recommended to be used with a surfactant to enhance its efficacy.
