Technical Name: Tembotrione 34.4% SC

Tembotrione 34.4% SC is a selective post-emergence herbicide recommended for the control of broadleaf and grassy weeds in maize.

Mode of Action:

Tembotrione 34.4% SC works by inhibiting the enzyme 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD). This inhibition disrupts the weed’s ability to synthesize essential pigments, leading to its death. The herbicide is highly selective, targeting broadleaf and grassy weeds while being safe for maize crops. It is recommended to be used with a surfactant to enhance its efficacy.

Target Crops: Mainly used for Maize (Corn) crops.

Target Weeds:

Broad-spectrum control of broadleaf weeds and grassy weeds. Commonly targets weeds such as barnyardgrass, crabgrass, foxtail, lambsquarters, pigweed, and other common annual weeds found in maize fields.

Dosage:

The recommended dosage is generally around 100-120 ml per acre.
