Tata Clue is a selective insecticide that offers a unique mode of action against whiteflies, jassids, thrips, and other pests through a systemic mode of action. It works by inhibiting feeding, as it stops pests from feeding and kills them through starvation. The Tata Clue insecticide is highly effective as it provides great resistance management and complete coverage upon application for effective results.
Key Features and Benefits of Clue Insecticide:
Resistance Breaker: Tata Clue has a unique mode of action, making it effective against sucking pests that have already developed resistance.
Quick Action: The Tata insecticide stops pest feeding almost immediately upon application, ensuring better crop protection.
Planthoppers and Leafhoppers: All Planthopper and Leafhopper species — Maize, Sugarcane
Registered Crops: Maize, Sugarcane, Cotton, Tomato, Pigeon Pea, Black Gram, Green Gram, Rose, Paddy
Tata Clue Dose — Recommended Dose:
The Clue insecticide dosage is 120–200 gm per acre — equivalent to 9–15 gm per 15L pump in 150–200 litres of water per acre.

How To Use Tata Clue Insecticide:
Measure the required dose of Tata Clue as per the crop-wise dose table above.
Pre-dissolve the WG granules in a small amount of clean water until fully dissolved before adding to the sprayer tank.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water and mix well to form a uniform solution before spraying.
Use a hollow cone or flat fan nozzle — ensure spray penetrates deep into the crop canopy and covers the underside of leaves where BPH and Aphids concentrate most densely.
Apply Clue insecticide at the first sign of sucking pest infestation — early application prevents population build-up and virus transmission.
Spray during early morning or late evening — avoid spraying during peak heat hours, which can cause rapid evaporation before absorption.
Do not exceed the recommended dose — overusing Tata Clue is harmful to the crops and environment.
Wash hands and exposed skin with soap immediately after applying the product.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply Tata Clue in the early morning or late evening. For BPH in Paddy, spray at the active tillering and panicle initiation stages when hopper populations first cross the Economic Threshold Level. For Cotton and Tomato, apply at the first sign of Aphid colony formation or Whitefly nymph build-up on young leaves.
Frequency of Application and Re-Entry Period:
Frequency of Application: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation. Tata Clue provides long-lasting residual control through systemic action — repeat only when pest populations rebound above the Economic Threshold Level. Do not exceed 2–3 applications per season — rotate with products from different IRAC groups after every 2 applications.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 12 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Clue insecticide is compatible with most fungicides and insecticides. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products. Avoid mixing with strongly alkaline inputs.
Safety Precautions and Handling:
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) — gloves, goggles, and a face mask — while applying Tata Clue.
Do not overuse — exceeding the recommended dose is harmful to crops and the environment.
Do not eat, drink, or chew during mixing or application.
Wash hands with soap immediately after using Clue insecticide.
