Adama Weedblock is a selective, systemic, and broad-spectrum herbicide that is effective against weeds like Echinochloa crus-galli, Digitaria spp, Amaranthus viridis, and other weeds. It works by inhibiting an essential enzyme, which stops the production of vital branched-chain amino acids. The Weedblock offers quick results through dual uptake with long-lasting effects for best weed removal.
Broad Spectrum: Adama Weedblock is effective against both grassy and broadleaf weeds, making it very versatile.
Dual Uptake: When applied, the Weedblock herbicide is absorbed through the leaves and roots of the weeds, providing quicker results.

Weedblock herbicide uses cover both grass and broadleaf weed management in two registered crops:
Annual Grassy Weeds: Echinochloa crus-galli (Barnyard Grass), Eleusine indica (Goosegrass), Digitaria spp. (Crabgrass), Dactyloctenium aegyptium (Crowfoot Grass)
Broadleaf Weeds: Amaranthus viridis (Slender Amaranth), Portulaca oleracea (Purslane), Commelina benghalensis (Kena), Digera arvensis, Euphorbia hirta, Trianthema portulacastrum
Sedges: Cyperus rotundus (Nutsedge / Motha), Cyperus iria

The Weedblock herbicide Dosage per litre of water is 2–3 ml per litre of water — equivalent to 400–600 ml per acre in 150–200 litres of water. Always mix with MSO (Methyl Seed Oil) adjuvant at 2 ml per litre of water for best leaf absorption and weed control.

Measure the required dose of Adama Weedblock as per the crop-wise dose table above.
Mix the measured quantity with MSO adjuvant at 2 ml per litre in a small amount of clean water first — MSO significantly improves leaf wetting and absorption.
Add the mixture to the sprayer tank half-filled with clean water and top up with the remaining water before spraying.
Use a flat fan nozzle for uniform broadcast coverage across the entire field surface.
Apply 7–14 days after sowing when weeds are at the 1–2 leaf stage and are actively growing — this is the window where Weedblock herbicide gives the fastest and most complete weed kill.
Ensure adequate soil moisture at the time of application — dry soil conditions reduce root absorption and residual activity.
Do not spray on water-stressed, dormant, or drought-affected weeds — actively growing weeds absorb Imazethapyr most efficiently.
Rinse the sprayer thoroughly with clean water after every use.
Apply Adama Weedblock in the early morning or late evening. The 1–2 leaf weed stage — 7–14 days after sowing — is the optimum application window. Never delay beyond the 4-leaf weed stage, as efficacy drops significantly with weed maturity.
Frequency of Application: Apply only once per crop season — Weedblock herbicide should be used only once per season. One well-timed early post-emergence application covers both emerged weeds and newly germinating weed seeds through residual activity.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 12 hours after application. Allow spray to dry and settle before re-entry.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Generally not recommended to mix Adama Weedblock with insecticides or fungicides as this may reduce weed control. Always consult the label before combining with any other input. If mixing is needed, always perform a jar test first.
Important Crop Rotation Caution: Imazethapyr has residual soil activity that can persist into the next cropping season. Do not plant sensitive crops like Mustard, Vegetables, Maize, or Wheat in the same field in the immediate next season after Weedblock herbicide application. Allow a minimum of 60–90 days before planting sensitive crops.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Adama Weedblock.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
Do not allow spray drift onto neighbouring non-registered crops.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 12 hours.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
Store Weedblock herbicide in its original sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep away from food, animal feed, and seeds.
Store out of reach of children and farm animals.
