Adama Custodia is a broad-spectrum, dual-action fungicide that offers systemic action along with strong translaminar activity. It works by systemically inhibiting fungal respiration and disrupting cell membrane synthesis, resulting in the fungus’ death. The Custodia fungicide offers a combinational formula that provides great resistance management with complete and uniform coverage. This fungicide is also very versatile as it can be used for preventive, curative, and eradicative applications.
Key Features and Benefits of Custodia Fungicide:
Strong Formula: Adama Custodia offers a combinational formula that provides multi-site action for effective protection.
Prevents Spreading: The Custodia fungicide stops spore germination at its earliest stage, preventing further spread in the crops.
Complete Coverage: The Adama Custodia fungicide offers strong systemic action with translaminar activity covering the entire crop.
Triple Application: This fungicide can be used as a preventive, curative, and eradicative application, making it highly versatile.
Prolonged Effects: Adama Custodia fungicide also offers long residual action, providing prolonged protection.
Custodia Fungicide Uses — What Does It Control?
Custodia Fungicide Uses cover foliar and airborne fungal diseases across all registered crops:
Crop | Target Diseases |
Paddy / Rice | Blast (Leaf, Neck, Panicle), Sheath Blight, Brown Leaf Spot |
Apple | Powdery Mildew, Scab |
Chilli | Powdery Mildew, Anthracnose |
Onion | Purple Blotch, Leaf Spot |
Adama Custodia Dose — Crop-Wise Recommended Dose:
Mix Custodia fungicide in 200 litres of clean water per acre for foliar spray. Apply preventively or at the very first sign of disease for the best results.
The Custodia Fungicide Dose Per Litre is 1.5 ml per litre of water — equivalent to 300 ml per acre and 22.5 ml per 15L pump — consistent across all registered crops.
Crop | Target Disease | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
Paddy | Blast, Sheath Blight | 300 ml | 22.5 ml | 14 days |
Apple | Powdery Mildew, Scab | 300 ml | 22.5 ml | 21 days |
Chilli | Powdery Mildew, Anthracnose | 300 ml | 22.5 ml | 7 days |
Onion | Purple Blotch, Leaf Spot | 300 ml | 22.5 ml | 7 days |
How To Use Adama Custodia Fungicide:
Shake the bottle well before measuring. Adama Custodia is an SC formulation that settles on standing.
Measure the required dose of Custodia fungicide as per the crop-wise dose table above.
Pre-mix in a small amount of clean water before adding to the sprayer tank.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water and agitate well before spraying.
Spray evenly on all plant parts — upper and lower leaf surfaces, stems, and panicles or fruit zones — for complete protective and curative coverage.
Apply preventively before disease appears during humid, overcast, or warm-wet weather when fungal infection pressure is highest.
Spray during early morning or late evening — avoid midday heat and do not spray when rain is expected within 3–4 hours.
Rinse the sprayer thoroughly with clean water after every use.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply Custodia fungicide in the early morning or late evening. For Paddy Blast, begin preventive sprays at the tillering and panicle initiation stages. For Chilli and Onion, apply from the vegetative stage onward when humid conditions favour disease spread. For Apple, apply from the first green tissue stage to protect young leaves and fruitlets.
Frequency of Application and Re-Entry Period:
Frequency of Application: Apply every 15–20 days during active disease pressure. Do not exceed 2–3 applications per season — always rotate Adama Custodia with products from different FRAC groups after 2 consecutive sprays to prevent resistance build-up.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Custodia fungicide is compatible with most fungicides and insecticides. Avoid strongly alkaline products. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar inputs.
Safety Precautions and Handling:
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Adama Custodia.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 24 hours.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
