Adama Barazide is an insecticide that offers strong protection against pests like Diamondback moth, Pod borer, and thrips on various crops like cabbage, chilli, etc. It offers contact and ingestion action and works by acting on the insect’s nervous system and inhibiting chitin synthesis, leading to immediate paralysis and death from abortive molting. The Adama Barazide insecticide is effective against a wide range of pests as it has no cross-resistance. The Barazide insecticide offers translaminar action for complete coverage and prolonged protection, making it highly cost-effective as well.
Effective Formula: The Barazide insecticide offers a combinational formula that offers no cross-resistance to pests for better results.
Quick Action: The Adama Barazide insecticide offers quick pest protection within hours of application, leading to better yields.
Translaminar Action: Adama Barazide insecticide penetrates leaf tissues and is transported through the crops for complete coverage.
Long Lasting: Barazide insecticide provides extended residual pest control for prolonged effectiveness, making it cost-effective as well.
Safe to Use: Adama Barazide insecticide has a low level of toxicity to predatory and parasitoid beneficial insects.
Barazide insecticide uses target Lepidopteran pests exclusively across all registered crops:
Diamondback Moth (DBM): Plutella xylostella — Cabbage
Tobacco Caterpillar: Spodoptera litura — Cabbage, Chilli
Fruit Borer: Helicoverpa armigera — Chilli
Pod Borer: Helicoverpa armigera, Maruca vitrata — Red Gram (Tur)
Stem Borer: Scirpophaga incertulas (Yellow Stem Borer) — Rice
Registered Crops: Cabbage, Chilli, Red Gram (Tur), Rice (Paddy)
The Barazide insecticide dose per Litre is 2.5–4 ml per litre of water — equivalent to 350–600 ml per acre in 150–200 litres of water, depending on crop type.
Crop | Target Pest | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Cabbage | Diamondback Moth, Tobacco Caterpillar | 350 ml | 26 ml | 3 days |
Chilli | Fruit Borer, Tobacco Caterpillar | 350 ml | 26 ml | 3 days |
Red Gram (Tur) | Pod Borer | 350 ml | 26 ml | 3 days |
Rice / Paddy | Yellow Stem Borer | 600 ml | 45 ml | 14 days |
Measure the required dose of Adama Barazide insecticide as per the crop-wise dose table above.
Add the measured quantity to a sprayer tank half-filled with clean water and mix well before topping up.
Fill with the remaining clean water and agitate thoroughly to form a uniform suspension before spraying.
Use a hollow cone nozzle for thorough coverage — ensure spray reaches the inner surface of leaves and the growing point where Lepidopteran larvae concentrate.
Apply at the Economic Threshold Level — begin spraying when 1–2 larvae per plant are observed to prevent population build-up.
For Rice Stem Borer, apply early at the active tillering stage when the first Dead Heart symptoms appear.
Spray during early morning or late evening — avoid spraying during peak bee foraging hours as Emamectin Benzoate has toxicity to bees.
Rinse all sprayer equipment thoroughly with clean water after every use.
Apply Barazide insecticide in the early morning or late evening. For Cabbage DBM, apply at the first sign of larval feeding on young leaves. For Chilli Fruit Borer, apply from the flowering stage when egg hatching begins. Early application at the 1–2 larval stage gives the fastest and most complete pest control from a single spray.
Frequency of Application: Apply at the Economic Threshold Level (1–2 larvae per plant). Adama Barazide insecticide provides 10–14 days of residual control — repeat as needed, up to 2–3 times per season. Always rotate with insecticides from different IRAC groups after 2 consecutive applications.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Barazide insecticide is compatible with most insecticides and fungicides. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products. Avoid mixing with strongly alkaline products.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Adama Barazide insecticide.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
Toxic to bees — do not spray during active bee foraging hours or near beehives.
No specific antidote is known — treat symptomatically and seek medical attention if poisoning is suspected.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 24 hours.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
