UPL Saafilizer is a dual-action, broad-spectrum fungicide, providing systemic and contact modes of action that are effective against blister blight, dieback, grey blight, red rust, and others. It works by interfering with fungal cell division, which stops the fungus from multiplying, while destroying fungal spores as they land. The Saafilizer fungicide is highly versatile as it can be used for preventive and curative uses, and can be applied through various methods of application.
Dual Action: UPL Saafilizer offers both systemic and contact action, ensuring strong protection with each application.
Broad Spectrum: Saafilizer fungicide is effective against leaf spot, fruit rot, powdery mildew, and anthracnose, among others.
Versatile Application: The UPL Saafilizer fungicide can be used for both preventive and curative applications, making it very versatile.
Resistance Management: This fungicide attacks multiple sites in the fungal cell at once, making it very difficult for diseases to build resistance.
Versatile Application: Saafilizer fungicide can be applied as a foliar spray, soil drench, or seed treatment, suiting various farming styles.
Saafilizer Fungicide Uses cover major fungal diseases across all registered and recommended crops:
Crop | Target Diseases |
|---|---|
Chilli | Fruit Rot, Leaf Spot, Powdery Mildew |

Paddy | Blast, Sheath Blight |
Potato | Early Blight, Late Blight, Black Scurf |

Groundnut | Leaf Spot, Tikka Leaf Spot, Collar Rot |
Other Vegetables | Leaf Spot, Downy Mildew, Rust |
The Saafilizer Fungicide Dose Per Litre is 1.5–3.5 gm per litre of water — varying by crop type and disease pressure.
Crop | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|
Chilli | 300–500 gm | 22.5–37.5 gm | 7 days |
Grapes | 400–600 gm | 30–45 gm | 14 days |
Paddy | 300–500 gm | 22.5–37.5 gm | 21 days |
Potato | 400–700 gm | 30–52.5 gm | 7 days |
Tea | 400–600 gm | 30–45 gm | As per label |
Other Crops | As per label | As per label | As per label |
Read the label fully before measuring the dose — check crop-specific dosage guidance before mixing.
Measure the required quantity of Saafilizer fungicide as per the crop and disease situation in the dose table above.
Pre-mix the measured powder in a small amount of clean water to form a smooth slurry before adding to the sprayer tank.
Fill the sprayer tank with the remaining water — 200 litres per acre — and mix well before starting to spray.
Apply uniformly on all plant surfaces — upper and lower leaf surfaces, stems, and fruit — for the best protective and curative coverage.
For best results, begin applying UPL Saafilizer at the very first sign of disease — or preventively when weather conditions favour disease development.
Do not apply if rain is expected within 4 hours of spraying — Saafilizer fungicide needs this window to dry onto the leaf surface and activate its protective film.
Spray during early morning or late evening to minimise spray evaporation and ensure good leaf coverage.
Apply UPL Saafilizer in the early morning or late evening. For Paddy Blast, spray at the tillering and panicle initiation stages before symptoms appear. For Potato Blight, begin preventive applications from the early vegetative stage during humid monsoon weather.
Frequency of Application: Apply every 10–15 days during active disease pressure. Do not exceed 3–4 applications per season. Rotate Saafilizer fungicide with products from different FRAC groups after 2 consecutive sprays to prevent resistance.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: UPL Saafilizer is compatible with most insecticides and fungicides. Avoid mixing with alkaline products. Always do a jar test before combining with unfamiliar inputs.
Important: Do not spray near water bodies — Saafilizer fungicide contains Mancozeb, which is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying UPL Saafilizer.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — wash immediately with plenty of clean water if contact occurs.
Keep Saafilizer fungicide away from children, animals, food, and water sources.
Do not spray near fish ponds, rivers, or irrigation channels.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
