Apply UPL Amicus in the early morning or late evening on a calm day. The best application window is at sowing time — 0 to 3 days after sowing — to ensure Amicus herbicide is in place before the first weed seeds begin germinating and before any soil disturbance breaks the surface herbicide layer.
Frequency of Application: One pre-emergent application per season is generally sufficient for season-long weed suppression in all registered crops. The 6–8 week soil residual activity of metolachlor 50% EC covers the entire critical early weed establishment window. If late weed flushes appear after the residual period, a post-emergent herbicide from a different HRAC group may be applied as a follow-up.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter sprayed fields for at least 12 hours after application. Avoid walking through the treated field surface before the spray has dried to prevent disturbing the chemical barrier.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Amicus herbicide is compatible with most other herbicides. Always perform a jar test before mixing metolachlor 50% EC with unfamiliar products.
