Tata Contaf Plus is a broad-spectrum, systemic fungicide that is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases, like Leaf Spot, Rust, Stem Rot, and others. It offers a strong systemic mode of action, which works by inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis in the fungi, disrupting the integrity of fungal cell membranes, leading to their death. The Contaf Plus fungicide offers complete and even coverage upon a single application and offers prolonged coverage for the best results.
Versatile Application: The Tata Contaf Plus fungicide can be used as a preventive, curative, and anti-sporulant, making it highly versatile.
Complete Coverage: The Contaf Plus fungicide offers strong translaminar action, which helps it translocate throughout the entire crop.
Rainfast Formulation: This fungicide cannot be washed away by the rain easily after a certain time, as it is absorbed quickly upon application.
Long-Lasting: Tata Contaf Plus fungicide offers a prolonged residual activity for longer protection, reducing the need for frequent application.
Easy to Use: Suspension Concentrate (SC) formulation of Tata Contaf Plus makes it easy to mix with water and apply for simple application.
Contaf Plus fungicide uses cover major fungal diseases across all registered and recommended crops:

The Contaf Plus fungicide Dose is 2 ml per litre of water — equivalent to 30 ml per 15L pump and 300 ml per acre in 150 litres of water across most registered crops.
Crop | Target Disease | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | Per Litre | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Rice / Paddy | Sheath Blight | 300–400 ml | 30–40 ml | 2 ml | 21 days |
Mango | Powdery Mildew | 300 ml | 30 ml | 2 ml | 21 days |
Grapes | Powdery Mildew | 200–400 ml | 20–40 ml | 2 ml | 14 days |

Measure the required dose of Contaf Plus fungicide as per the crop-wise dose table above — 2 ml per litre of water for most crops.
Add the measured quantity to a sprayer tank half-filled with clean water and mix well before topping up.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water and agitate well before spraying.
Apply uniformly on both upper and lower leaf surfaces — direct the spray nozzle toward the lower leaf sheaths for Rice Sheath Blight for the most effective disease interception.
Apply preventively before disease appears — especially during humid, warm, overcast weather conditions that favour fungal disease development.
For curative action, apply at the very first sign of disease symptoms — Tata Contaf Plus delivers the best curative results at early-stage infection.
Apply during early morning or late evening — avoid spraying during midday heat or when rain is expected within 3–4 hours.
Rinse the sprayer thoroughly with clean water after every use.
Apply Contaf Plus fungicide in the early morning or late evening. For Rice Sheath Blight, apply at the active tillering stage — 40–45 days after transplanting — when humidity and dense crop canopy create peak disease conditions. For Mango and Grapes Powdery Mildew, begin preventive sprays at the early flowering stage.
Frequency of Application: Apply every 14–21 days during active disease pressure. Do not exceed 3–4 applications per season — always rotate Tata Contaf Plus with fungicides from different FRAC groups after 2 consecutive sprays.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 12–24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Contaf Plus fungicide is compatible with most insecticides, including Chlorpyrifos, Profenofos, and Quinalphos. Do not mix with alkaline products like Bordeaux mixture. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar inputs. Do not spray near fish ponds — Hexaconazole is toxic to aquatic life.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Tata Contaf Plus.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
Do not spray near fish ponds, rivers, or water bodies — Contaf Plus fungicide contains Hexaconazole, which is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 24 hours.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
