Sumitomo Meothrin is a broad-spectrum insecticide containing Fenpropathrin 30% EC, effective against bollworm, aphids, thrips, and other pests. This insecticide offers a contact and stomach mode of action, which works by disrupting the insect's central and peripheral nervous systems, causing immediate knockdown, paralysis, and death. The Sumitomo Meothrin insecticide can also be used against certain mites and offers a strong formula that offers quick pest relief, leading to better crop growth.

The Meothrin Insecticide Dosage is 0.5–0.75 ml per litre of water — a significantly lower per-litre dose than 10% EC formulations due to the higher active ingredient concentration of fenpropathrin 30% EC.

Measure the required dose of Meothrin insecticide as per the crop-wise table above — 0.5–0.75 ml per litre of water.
Add the measured quantity to a small amount of water to form a white emulsion before adding to the sprayer tank.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water and mix well to form a uniform emulsion before spraying.
Use a hollow cone nozzle for thorough coverage — ensure spray reaches the underside of leaves and the base of stems where bollworms and hoppers are most active.
For Cotton bollworm, apply during the squares and early boll formation stage when egg hatching is most likely.
For Paddy, apply at the active tillering stage when the first Dead Heart symptoms appear.
Spray during early morning or late afternoon — avoid spraying when bees are actively foraging as fenpropathrin 30% EC is toxic to bees.
Wash hands and all exposed skin with soap and water thoroughly after every spray session.
Apply Sumitomo Meothrin in the early morning or late afternoon. Apply at the first sign of pest activity — early use of Meothrin insecticide at the earliest signs of pest incidence gives the healthiest harvest and the most cost-effective pest management result per spray.
Frequency of Application: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation. Sumitomo Meothrin provides extended residual protection — repeat as needed based on field scouting. Do not exceed 2–3 applications per season — always rotate with products from different IRAC groups after 2 consecutive applications.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Meothrin insecticide is compatible with most insecticides, fungicides, and foliar fertilizers. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products. Do not spray near fish ponds or water bodies — fenpropathrin 30% EC is toxic to aquatic organisms.
Wear a mask, gloves, and protective gear before handling or spraying Sumitomo Meothrin.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
Toxic to bees — do not spray during active bee foraging hours or near beehives and flowering crops.
Toxic to aquatic organisms — avoid spray drift near ponds, rivers, or fish farms.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 24 hours.
