Dantotsu Sumitomo is a broad-spectrum systemic insecticide that offers systemic insecticide. It works by acting on the pests’ central nervous system by binding essential receptors, causing nerve stimulation and leading to paralysis and death of the pests. The Dantotsu insecticide is very cost-effective as it can be used against multiple pests and offers long-lasting effectiveness. The Sumitomo Dantotsu has a low chemical impact on the environment, making it very safe to use.

The Dantotsu Insecticide Dosage Per Litre for foliar spray is 0.2–0.4 gm per litre of water — equivalent to 8–16 gm per acre. For soil drenching, the dose is significantly higher.

How to use Dantotsu Insecticide varies by crop and application method:
Measure the required dose of Dantotsu as per the crop-wise dose table above — the WDG granules dissolve instantly in water.
Pre-dissolve the measured granules in a small amount of clean water in a separate container first, then add to the sprayer tank.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water and agitate well to form a uniform solution before spraying.
For Paddy BPH, direct the spray toward the base of the plant where hoppers cluster near the waterline — not just the upper leaves.
For Cotton Whitefly, ensure thorough coverage of the underside of leaves where nymphs concentrate.
For Sugarcane and Cotton soil drenching, dilute the required dose in 400 litres of water per acre and apply uniformly to the root zone within 7 days of germination or sowing.
For Grapes, apply through soil drenching around the root zone at the first sign of Mealybug or Thrips infestation.
Spray Dantotsu Sumitomo during early morning or late evening — avoid peak bee foraging hours.
Apply Dantotsu Insecticide in the early morning or late evening. For Paddy BPH, spray at the active tillering stage when pest populations first reach the Economic Threshold Level. For Cotton, apply soil drench within 7 days of germination for the most effective early-season sucking pest protection.
Frequency of Application: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation. Dantotsu provides 14–21 days of residual control — repeat as needed up to 2–3 times per season. Always rotate with products from different IRAC groups after 2 consecutive applications.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 12 hours after spraying. Dantotsu Sumitomo has a Green Triangle classification — basic protective gear is sufficient for re-entry after the spray has fully dried.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Dantotsu Insecticide is compatible with most chemicals. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar inputs. Avoid mixing with strongly alkaline products.
Wear gloves and a face mask before handling or spraying Dantotsu Insecticide.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water if contact occurs.
Toxic to bees when wet — do not spray during active bee foraging hours, near beehives, or on flowering crops.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 12 hours.
Wash all exposed skin with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
Store Dantotsu in its original sealed packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Keep tightly sealed after use to prevent moisture absorption.
Keep away from food, animal feed, and seeds.
Store out of reach of children and farm animals.
