HPM Hindol insecticide is a powerful solution to control sucking and chewing pests on Paddy and Bengal gram crops. HPM Hindol insecticide controls pests through contact and stomach mode of action. It enters the stomach of the insects when they come in contact with the crops and inhibits the nervous system, leading to death. This insecticide is compatible with IPM (Integrated Pest Management) programmes, making it an eco-friendly option.
Key Features and Benefits of HPM Hindol Insecticide:
Quick-action: HPM Hindol insecticide ensures immediate results within a few hours of application through the contact mode of action.
Broad-spectrum Insecticide: HPM Hindol insecticide is effective against various pests such as stem borer, leaf hopper, gall midge, and termites.
Versatile Use: HPM Hindol insecticide is used to control termites in agriculture, construction sites, and houses.
Cost-effective: This insecticide lasts for a longer period with a single application and makes it cost-effective for the farmers.
Hindol Insecticide Uses:
HPM Hindol Insecticide is effective against a range of chewing, sucking, and soil pests across:
Paddy (Rice) — Stem Borer, Green Leaf Hopper, Brown Plant Hopper, Gall Midge, Leaf Folder, Grasshopper
Bengal Gram (Chickpea) — Pod Borer (Helicoverpa armigera)
Termite Control — Agricultural fields, sugarcane, groundnut root zone, buildings, wooden structures, and furniture
Hindol Insecticide Dose Per Litre:
HPM Hindol Insecticide is a dry dust formulation applied by direct broadcast — no water mixing required. Below is the recommended dose per acre.
Crop | Target Pest | Dose / Acre | Application Method | PHI |
Paddy | Stem Borer, Leaf Hopper, BPH, Gall Midge | 5–10 kg | Direct Broadcast (Dust) | 30 days |
Bengal Gram | Pod Borer | 5–10 kg | Direct Broadcast (Dust) | 30 days |
Termite Control (Soil) | Termites, White Grubs | 8–10 kg | Soil Broadcast at Base of Plants | — |
Buildings & Structures | Termites | As required | Dust application into cracks and floor | — |
Note: Since HPM Hindol Insecticide is a dry dust powder, no "dose per litre of water" applies — the product is used directly without dilution. Apply uniformly across the field for full pest coverage.
Hindol Insecticide How to Use:
Open the HPM Hindol Insecticide pack carefully and measure the required quantity — usually 5 to 10 kg per acre.
Wear gloves, a face mask, and protective eyewear before handling the dust — Chlorpyriphos is a moderately toxic organophosphate.
Fill a manual or mechanical duster with the required quantity of the insecticide.
Walk evenly across the paddy or gram field, dusting uniformly over the crop canopy and soil surface.
For stem borer control, direct the dust toward the base and lower stems of paddy plants where borers are active.
For termite control, broadcast the dust near the plant base or apply directly into cracks/crevices of buildings or wooden structures.
Apply during calm weather to avoid dust drift — early morning or late evening is best.
Do not apply just before rain, as heavy rain will wash the dust off the crop.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply HPM Hindol Insecticide at the early stage of pest activity — when stem borer damage first appears on paddy tillers, when hoppers start settling on leaves, or when termite activity is spotted in the field. Early morning or late evening is the best window for dusting, as the air is calm and the dust settles properly on the crop without drifting away.
Frequency of Application and Re-entry Period:
Frequency: 1 to 2 applications of Hindol Insecticide per crop cycle at 15 to 20-day intervals, depending on pest pressure.
Re-Entry Period: Wait 24 hours after application before re-entering the treated field without protective clothing.
Compatibility: HPM Hindol Insecticide is a stand-alone dust product and does not need tank-mixing. It can be used before or after other spray products, but not combined in the same application.
Safety, Precautions and Handling:
Read the instructions carefully from the product label before use.
Wear gloves, a dust mask, and protective eyewear while handling and applying HPM Hindol Insecticide.
Do not inhale the dust — always apply in calm weather and stay upwind of the dusting operation.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product.
Wash hands, face, and exposed skin with soap and water immediately after use.
Contact a doctor immediately in case of accidental ingestion or exposure — Hindol Insecticide is for agricultural use only.
