FMC Authority NXT is a broad-spectrum and pre-emergent herbicide that contains Sulfentrazone 28% + Clomazone 30% WP, offering a systemic mode of action, which is effective against various kinds of weeds. This herbicide works by disrupting the formation of cell membranes in weeds and stops the production of chlorophyll, resulting in the weed's death. The Authority NXT herbicide offers long-lasting protection with a strong and effective formula, ensuring effective weed removal.
Key Features and Benefits of Authority NXT Herbicide:
Dual Action: FMC Authority NXT offers a combinational formula that makes it tough for the weeds to develop resistance.
Long-Lasting: Authority NXT herbicide provides long-lasting residual soil activity, ensuring the best results.
Effective Working: The Authority NXT herbicide offers strong weed removal as it travels throughout, with systemic and translaminar activity.
Improved Growth: This Sulfentrazone 28% + Clomazone 30% WP removes weeds completely, offering crops the necessary nutrients required for improved growth.
Easy to Use: FMC Authority NXT herbicide can be mixed with water easily due to its water-dispersible powder (WDP) formula for simple use.
Authority NXT Herbicide Uses — Target Weeds and Crops:
Authority NXT Herbicide Uses cover broadleaf weeds, grassy weeds, and difficult resistant weed species across both registered crops:
Broadleaf Weeds: Acalypha spp. (Copper Leaf), Commelina benghalensis (Kena/Day Flower), Digera arvensis (False Amaranth), Amaranthus viridis (Pigweed), Portulaca oleracea (Purslane), Parthenium hysterophorus (Congress Grass)
Grassy Weeds: Echinochloa spp. (Barnyard Grass), Dactyloctenium aegyptium (Crowfoot Grass), Digitaria spp. (Crabgrass), Setaria spp. (Foxtail)
Sedges: Cyperus spp. (Nutsedge / Motha)
Resistant Weeds: Waterhemp, Palmer Amaranth, Black Nightshade, Kochia — particularly hard-to-kill resistant weed populations
Registered Crops: Sugarcane and Soybean
FMC Authority NXT Dose — Recommended Dose:
The FMC Authority NXT Herbicide Dose is 500 gm per acre — applied as a pre-emergent soil spray in 200 litres of water per acre.
Crop | Target Weeds | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | Timing | PHI |
Soybean | Broadleaf Weeds, Grassy Weeds, Sedges | 500 gm | 37–40 gm | Pre-emergent — at sowing or within 3 days | As per the label |
Sugarcane | Broadleaf Weeds, Grassy Weeds, Sedges | 500 gm | 37–40 gm | Pre-emergent — at planting or within 3 days | As per the label |
How To Use FMC Authority NXT Herbicide:
Read the label instructions carefully before using FMC Authority NXT — check the label instructions and dosage before mixing.
Measure 500 gm of Authority NXT herbicide per acre as per the dose table above.
Use hand gloves and a mask while mixing sulfentrazone 28% + clomazone 30% WP — dispose of gloves after mixing.
Pre-dissolve the measured powder in a small amount of clean water and stir until fully dissolved before adding to the sprayer tank.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water — 200 litres per acre — and mix well to form a uniform spray solution before application.
Apply as a uniform broadcast spray over the entire field surface using a flat fan nozzle — ensure even and complete soil surface coverage.
Apply immediately at sowing or within 3 days of sowing — before weed seeds begin germinating to maximise pre-emergent herbicide efficacy.
Adequate soil moisture is essential for Authority NXT herbicide to activate — apply before expected rainfall or before the first post-sowing irrigation.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply FMC Authority NXT in the early morning or late evening on a calm day without strong winds. The optimum application window is at the time of sowing or within 3 days of sowing — before any weed seeds have germinated above the soil surface.
Frequency of Application and Re-Entry Period:
Frequency of Application: One pre-emergent application of Authority NXT herbicide at sowing is generally sufficient for season-long weed control through the critical early establishment phase. The long residual activity of sulfentrazone 28% + clomazone 30% WP suppresses multiple flushes of weed germination without requiring a second spray.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter sprayed fields for at least 12 hours after application. Allow the spray to dry and settle fully before field re-entry.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: FMC Authority NXT can be used with IFC Super Sticker for improved herbicide effectiveness. Do not mix with inputs that may interfere with the soil contact activity of Authority NXT herbicide. Always perform a jar test before combining with unfamiliar products.
Important Notes:
Apply Authority NXT herbicide only in Sugarcane and Soybean — do not use on other unregistered crops.
Do not disturb the soil surface after application — cultivation or tillage after spraying breaks the herbicide barrier and reduces efficacy.
Soil moisture is essential — apply before rainfall or the first irrigation for best herbicide activation.

Use hand gloves and a mask while mixing FMC Authority NXT — dispose of gloves after mixing.
Wash your hands with soap immediately after using Authority NXT herbicide.
