Bayer Foost is a selective herbicide that targets a wide range of grassy and broad-leaf weeds. It inhibits the photosynthesis process in the weeds and stops further growth. Bayer Foost herbicide eliminates weeds quickly after application and ensures a healthy yield. This herbicide can be used as a pre-emergence and post-emergence application, providing flexibility to the farmers.
Selective Treatment: Bayer Foost herbicide only targets harmful weeds and does not affect crops like corn and sugarcane.
Dual Application: This herbicide can be used as a pre-emergent and post-emergent application, giving flexibility to the farmers.
Better Absorption: When applied, this herbicide is quickly absorbed by the leaves and roots of the weeds, ensuring immediate results within a few hours of application.
Long-Lasting: Bayer Foost herbicide leaves behind a residue that ensures long-lasting protection to the crops through systemic action.
Bayer Foost Herbicide is effective against a wide mix of grassy weeds across:
Wheat — Phalaris minor (mandusi), Wild Oats (Avena fatua), Chenchoo grass
Soybean — Echinochloa colona, Digitaria sanguinalis, Cynodon dactylon, Eleusine
Onion & Garlic — Grassy weeds and volunteer cereals
Transplanted Rice — Echinochloa colona, Echinochloa crus-galli, Leptochloa
Common Grasses Controlled: Phalaris minor, Avena fatua, Echinochloa colona, Digitaria sanguinalis, Cynodon dactylon, Eleusine indica, Leptochloa chinensis
Apply Bayer Foost Herbicide as a post-emergence spray at the recommended dose. Timing is critical for good weed control and crop safety.
Crop | Dose / Acre | Per Litre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Wheat | 400 ml | 2 ml | 30 ml | 60 days |
Soybean | 400 ml | 2 ml | 30 ml | 60 days |
Onion & Garlic | 400 ml | 2 ml | 30 ml | 45 days |
Transplanted Rice | 400 ml | 2 ml | 30 ml | 60 days |
Pump dose: Use 30 ml per 15-litre knapsack pump for general application.
Water Volume: Use 150 to 200 litres of water per acre for uniform coverage.
Check the field to see the weed size — the 2- to 4-leaf stage of grassy weeds is the right time to spray.
Wear gloves and a face mask before opening the Foost bottle.
Shake the bottle well and measure the required quantity using a marked cup or syringe.
Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and pour in the measured product slowly.
Add the remaining water and stir until the solution looks uniform.
Use a flat-fan nozzle for herbicide application — never a hollow-cone insecticide nozzle.
Spray evenly over the field, without going over the same area twice.
Do not spray on windy days to avoid the spray drifting onto nearby broadleaf crops.
Spray Bayer Foost Herbicide at the early post-emergence stage — when crop and weeds have emerged, and weeds are at the 2- to 4-leaf stage and actively growing. Late afternoon or early evening is the best window, when leaf temperature is cooler and product absorption is stronger. Avoid spraying if rain is expected within 4 to 6 hours.
Frequency: Only 1 post-emergence spray per crop cycle — do not repeat the same herbicide in the same season.
Re-Entry Period: Wait at least 24 hours after spraying before re-entering the treated field without protective clothing.
Compatibility: Foost is often tank-mixed with broadleaf herbicides like Metsulfuron-methyl or Carfentrazone in wheat for complete weed control. Always run a small jar test 24 hours before a new tank-mix combination.
Wear hand gloves, face mask, and protective eyewear while handling the product.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or spraying.
Spray downwind and keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields.
Wash hands and exposed body parts with soap and water after use.
Use a separate sprayer for herbicides — never use the same sprayer that was used for insecticides or fungicides on the crop, as residues can damage other crops.
In case of accidental ingestion, contact a doctor immediately with the product label.
Store the herbicide in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
Keep away from food, animal feed, and drinking water sources.
Store in the original container with the cap tightly closed.
Keep out of reach of children, pets, and livestock.
Storage Temperature: Below 30°C
