Shaked herbicide is a broad-spectrum, selective, and early post-emergence herbicide that works through a systemic mode of action. It works by inhibiting an essential enzyme in weeds, stopping the production of cell membranes and blocking the synthesis of essential acids. The Shaked herbicide offers strong protection with dual modes of action and has a rainfast formula that cannot be washed away easily by the rain. It is also safe to use for crops as it has highly selective properties.
Key Features and Benefits of Shaked Herbicide:
Multi-Action: Shaked herbicide simultaneously attacks two biochemical processes in the broadleaf weeds.
Broad-Spectrum: A single use of the Shaked herbicide targets grasses and broadleaf weeds, saving time, effort, and money.
Rainfast Applications: This herbicide cannot be washed away by the rain easily within just 1 to 2 hours of application.
Complete Coverage: The Adama Shaked herbicide has translaminar activity as it travels to the roots of the weeds, ensuring they don’t regrow.
Prolonged Effects: The Shaked herbicide offers long-lasting protection as it stays active in the soil and prevents more weeds from growing.
Shaked Herbicide Uses — Target Weeds and Crops:
Shaked herbicide Uses cover both grassy and broadleaf weeds in pulse and oilseed crops:
Grassy Weeds: Dactyloctenium aegyptium (Crowfoot Grass), Echinochloa colona (Jungle Rice), Eleusine indica (Goosegrass), Digitaria sanguinalis (Crabgrass)
Broadleaf Weeds: Euphorbia hirta (Asthma Weed), Commelina benghalensis (Kena), Digera arvensis (Smooth Pigweed), Amaranthus viridis (Slender Amaranth)
Registered Crops: Soybean, Black Gram, Cluster Bean, Groundnut
Adama Shaked Dose — Recommended Dose:
The Shaked herbicide Dose Per Litre is 60–70 ml per 15 litres of water, equivalent to 800 ml per acre in 180–200 litres of water.
Crop | Target Weeds | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | Timing | PHI |
Soybean | Grassy and Broadleaf Weeds | 800 ml | 60–70 ml | Early post-emergence — 2–4 leaf weed stage | As per label |
Black Gram | Grassy and Broadleaf Weeds | 800 ml | 60–70 ml | Early post-emergence — 2–4 leaf weed stage | As per label |
Cluster Bean | Grassy and Broadleaf Weeds | 800 ml | 60–70 ml | Early post-emergence — 2–4 leaf weed stage | As per label |
Groundnut | Grassy and Broadleaf Weeds | 800 ml | 60–70 ml | Early post-emergence — 2–4 leaf weed stage | As per label |
How To Use Adama Shaked Herbicide:
Measure 60–70 ml of Shaked herbicide per 15 litres of water as per the dose table above.
Half-fill the sprayer tank with clean water, add the measured amount, and mix well before filling to the required volume.
No additional sticker or adjuvant is needed, as it has an inbuilt adjuvant in its ME formulation.
Use a flat fan nozzle for even spray coverage across the entire field surface.
Apply as an early post-emergence spray when most weeds are at the 2–4 leaf stage and are actively growing — this is the window where Shaked herbicide gives the fastest and most complete weed kill.
Ensure adequate soil moisture is present at the time of application — dry soil conditions reduce root absorption and translocation effectiveness.
Avoid application if rain is expected within 1–2 hours — allow the Shaked herbicide to become fully rain-fast before rainfall.
Rinse all sprayer equipment thoroughly with clean water after every use.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply Shaked herbicide in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are moderate, and weeds are actively growing. The 2–4 leaf weed stage is the most effective timing — early application before the weed canopy closes gives the best control and the longest weed-free period for the crop.
Frequency of Application and Re-Entry Period:
Frequency of Application: One well-timed application of Shaked herbicide at the 2–4 leaf stage is generally sufficient for season-long weed control in Soybean and pulse crops. A follow-up application may be needed if heavy late-germinating weed flushes appear.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 12 hours after application. Allow the spray to dry fully before field re-entry.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: This herbicide has an inbuilt adjuvant and should generally be applied as a standalone product. If combining with other inputs, consult the label and always perform a jar test. Do not mix with fertilizer solutions or strongly alkaline products.
Important Notes:
Apply only to the registered crops, as it may cause crop damage on non-registered species.
Do not apply to water-stressed crops or during extreme heat — ideal application conditions are actively growing crops with adequate soil moisture.
Ensure adequate soil moisture is present at the time of and after application for best residual activity from the Imazethapyr component.
Safety Precautions and Handling:
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Shaked herbicide.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
No specific antidote is known — in case of accidental ingestion, seek immediate medical attention and take the product container to the doctor.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 12 hours.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
Storage Instructions:
Store this herbicide in its original sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
Keep away from food, animal feed, and seeds.
Store out of reach of children and farm animals.
Do not store near open flames — ME formulations contain hydrocarbon solvent carriers.
Storage Temperature: Below 35°C.
