Adama Imperial is a powerful, non-systemic insecticide and acaricide that offers stomach and contact modes of action. This insecticide works by acting as a nerve poison by disrupting sodium ion channels in the insect's nervous system, causing paralysis and death of the pest. The Adama Imperial insecticide offers long-lasting protection with a single application and offers high compatibility for better results.
Dual Action: The Imperial insecticide kills pests quickly as it offers a dual mode of action with contact and stomach action.
Versatile Application: Adama Imperial can also be used as an acaricide while being effective against pests, making it highly versatile.
Long-Lasting: Adama Imperial insecticide offers prolonged protection through residual activity, requiring fewer applications.
Broad-Spectrum: This insecticide can be used against bollworms, whiteflies, sucking pests, leaf folders, and more.
High Compatibility: Adama Imperial insecticide mixes well with most commonly used insecticides and fungicides, for better results.
Imperial Insecticide Uses cover foliar insects, boring pests, and mites across three registered crops:
Crop | Target Pests |
|---|---|
Cotton | Bollworm (American, Pink, Spotted), Whitefly, Sucking Pests, Mites |
Rice / Paddy | Stem Borer, Leaf Folder, Green Leaf Hopper (GLH) |
Sugarcane | Termites |
The Imperial Insecticide Dose Per Litre is 2.5 ml per litre of water — equivalent to 40 ml per 15L pump and 400 ml per acre in 200 litres of water.
Crop | Target Pest | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | Per Litre | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Cotton | Bollworm, Whitefly, Sucking Pests | 400 ml | 40 ml | 2.5 ml | 15 days |
Rice / Paddy | Stem Borer, Leaf Folder, GLH | 400 ml | 40 ml | 2.5 ml | 21 days |
Sugarcane | Termites | 400 ml | 40 ml | 2.5 ml | As per label |
Measure the required dose of Imperial insecticide — 2.5 ml per litre of water for all registered crops.
Add the measured quantity to a sprayer tank half-filled with clean water and mix well before filling to the required volume.
Agitate the tank well to form a stable emulsion before starting to spray.
Use a hollow cone nozzle for thorough coverage — make sure the spray reaches all leaf surfaces, the underside of leaves, and stem zones where target pests hide.
For Cotton, apply at the first sign of bollworm egg-hatching or early larval feeding — early use of Adama Imperial protects the squares and bolls before pest damage becomes visible.
For Rice, spray at the active tillering stage when Stem Borer Dead Heart symptoms or Leaf Folder leaf-rolling damage first appears.
Do not apply during peak bee foraging hours — Bifenthrin 10% EC is toxic to bees.
Rinse all spray equipment with clean water thoroughly after each use.
Spray Adama Imperial in the early morning or late evening on a calm, dry day. For Cotton, the critical window is at squares and early boll formation when bollworm egg-laying begins. For Rice, apply during active tillering when pest populations first reach the Economic Threshold Level.
Frequency of Application: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation. Imperial insecticide provides 10–15 days of residual protection — repeat only when pest populations cross the ETL again. Do not exceed 2–3 applications per season. Rotate with insecticides from different IRAC groups after 2 consecutive applications.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Adama Imperial is compatible with most insecticides and fungicides. Do not mix with strongly alkaline products. Always do a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar inputs.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Imperial insecticide.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke while mixing or applying the product.
Avoid direct skin or eye contact — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if this happens.
Toxic to bees and aquatic organisms — keep away from beehives, flowering crops, ponds, rivers, and fish farms.
Keep children, pets, and livestock out of treated fields for at least 24 hours.
Wash all exposed skin with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local guidelines.
