Adama Bumper is a broad-spectrum fungicide that offers a strong systemic mode of action against fungal diseases like karnal bunt, leaf rust, powdery mildew, and others. It works by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, making pathogens unable to form stable cell membranes, stopping their growth and reproduction. Adama Bumper features a systemic formula that delivers broad-spectrum coverage for both preventive and curative applications.
Systemic Action: Adama Bumper is absorbed by leaves and stems and moves upward through the xylem, reaching all parts of the crops.
Dual Application: Bumper fungicide can be deployed as a preventive or curative treatment, making it highly versatile.
Broad-Spectrum: Adama Bumper controls various diseases like karnal bunt, leaf rust, sheath blight, early leaf spot, and many others.
Long-Lasting: Bumper fungicide provides disease protection lasting 10–15 days per application, reducing the need for frequent uses.
Safe to Use: Bumper fungicide does not adversely affect honeybees, beneficial predator insects, or wildlife, making it safe to use.
Bumper fungicide uses cover major fungal diseases across five registered crops:
Crop | Target Diseases |
|---|---|
Wheat | Karnal Bunt, Leaf Rust, Powdery Mildew |
Rice / Paddy | Sheath Blight, Leaf Spot |
Groundnut | Early Leaf Spot, Late Leaf Spot, Rust |
Tea | Blister Blight |
Soybean | Rust, Leaf Spot |
The Bumper fungicide dose per Litre is 1 ml per litre of water — equivalent to 15 ml per 15L pump and 200 ml per acre in 200 litres of water across all registered crops.
Crop | Target Disease | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Wheat | Karnal Bunt, Leaf Rust | 200 ml | 15 ml | 35 days |
Rice | Sheath Blight | 200 ml | 15 ml | 21 days |
Groundnut | Leaf Spot, Rust | 200 ml | 15 ml | 14 days |
Tea | Blister Blight | 200 ml | 15 ml | As per label |
Soybean | Rust, Leaf Spot | 200 ml | 15 ml | As per label |
Read the label instructions before mixing and applying Bumper fungicide.
Measure 1 ml of Adama Bumper per litre of water — 15 ml per 15L pump.
Add the measured quantity of Bumper directly into a partially filled spray tank with the agitation system running. As an Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC), it forms a stable emulsion spontaneously upon contact with water without requiring pre-mixing.
Fill with the remaining water — 200 litres per acre — and stir well before spraying.
Apply uniformly on all plant surfaces — upper and lower leaf surfaces, stems, and where disease symptoms are first appearing.
Begin applying Adama Bumper preventively when disease-favoring conditions arrive — humid weather, cool nights, or when neighbouring fields show infection signs.
For curative use, apply Bumper fungicide at the very first sign of disease — early curative sprays consistently outperform delayed applications.
Spray during early morning or late evening — avoid midday heat and do not apply if rain is expected within 3–4 hours.
Apply Adama Bumper in the early morning or late evening. For Wheat Leaf Rust, begin spraying at the flag leaf stage. For Groundnut Leaf Spot, start from 30–35 days after sowing and repeat every 10–15 days during disease-prone weather.
Frequency of Application: Apply every 10–15 days during active disease pressure. Do not exceed 3–4 applications per season — rotate Bumper fungicide with products from different FRAC groups after 2 consecutive sprays to prevent resistance build-up in fungal populations.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Adama Bumper is compatible with most commonly used pesticides. Do not mix with Lime Sulphur, Bordeaux Mixture, or alkaline solutions. Always perform a jar test before combining with unfamiliar products.
Do not smoke, eat, or drink while applying Adama Bumper.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask when handling or spraying Bumper fungicide.
Avoid direct skin and eye contact — wash immediately with plenty of clean water if contact occurs.
Keep Adama Bumper away from children, animals, food, and water sources.
