Adama Agil is a powerful herbicide that is selective, systemic, and post-emergent. It provides strong systemic action that works by targeting an essential enzyme, which stops the synthesis of fatty acids and cell membrane building in grasses. The Adama Agil herbicide offers a quick-action formula for rapid weed relief that is safe for crops and the environment when used as recommended, making it suitable for Integrated Weed Management (IWM) practices.

Agil Herbicide Uses cover annual and perennial grassy weed management across all registered broadleaf crops:
Annual Grassy Weeds: Echinochloa crus-galli (Barnyard Grass), Echinochloa colona (Jungle Rice), Dactyloctenium aegyptium (Crowfoot Grass), Setaria spp. (Foxtail Grass), Digitaria spp. (Crabgrass)
Perennial Grassy Weeds: Cynodon dactylon (Bermuda / Doob Grass), Sorghum halepense (Johnson Grass), Saccharum spp. (Wild Sugarcane)
Registered Crops: Chilli, Tomato, Brinjal, Cabbage, Papaya, Carrot, Chickpea, Black Gram, Cluster Bean, Cotton, Groundnut, Jute, Onion, Sesamum, Soybean
Important: Agil herbicide must NOT be used in Paddy, Wheat, Maize, Sorghum, Sugarcane, or any other grass-family crop — it will cause severe crop damage to all grass-family species.
The Agil Herbicide Dosage Per Litre is 2 ml per litre of water — equivalent to 400 ml per acre in 200 litres of water, applied uniformly across the field.

Shake the bottle well before measuring — this Agil herbicide is an emulsifiable concentrate that needs uniform mixing.
Measure the required dose as per the crop-wise table above — 2 ml per litre of water for most applications.
Add the measured Adama Agil herbicide to a small amount of clean water in a separate container and stir well before adding to the sprayer tank.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water and agitate thoroughly to form a uniform emulsion.
Use a flat fan nozzle for uniform coverage across the field — spray directly onto weed foliage, ensuring all weed leaves are thoroughly wet.
Apply when weeds are at the 2–4 leaf stage and actively growing — this is when ACCase inhibition is most effective, and weed kill is fastest.
Do not spray during strong winds or when rain is expected within 1 hour of application.
Rinse all sprayer equipment thoroughly with clean water after every use — Agil herbicide residues can cause drift damage to grass crops in subsequent spray sessions.
Apply Adama Agil herbicide in the early morning or late evening. Target the 2–4 leaf weed stage — 15–20 days after sowing or transplanting for most crops. Apply when adequate soil moisture is present for the best weed root kill and translocation.
Frequency of Application: One well-timed application at the 2–4 leaf weed stage is generally sufficient for season-long grassy weed control. A second application may be made for heavy perennial weed pressure if regrowth appears after the first spray.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 12 hours after application. Allow the spray to dry fully before field re-entry.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Agil herbicide can be tank-mixed with compatible broadleaf herbicides for broader spectrum weed control. Do not mix with Chlorimuron Ethyl, as this may reduce grass weed efficacy. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products.
Do not spray Adama Agil herbicide on or near Paddy, Wheat, Maize, Sorghum, or Sugarcane — even spray drift onto these crops will cause severe phytotoxic damage.
Always rinse the sprayer after use before any application on grass-family crops.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Agil herbicide.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
Do not allow spray drift onto neighbouring grass-family crops.
No specific antidote is known — treat symptomatically and seek medical attention if poisoning is suspected.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 12 hours.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
