IPL Mildown is a bio-fungicide containing Bacillus Subtilis 2.0% AS, which works by producing antimicrobial compounds in crops, naturally boosting the crop defense system. The Mildown biological fungicide has multifaceted action, which makes it tough for the pathogen to develop any form of resistance, leading to long-lasting effectiveness. The IPL Mildown Fungicide provides a strong formula that is easy to mix and apply, making it highly convenient for all types of users.
Eco-Friendly: IPL Mildown fungicide helps cure fungal disease with the help of beneficial micro-organisms, eliminating the use of harsh chemicals.
Resistance Management: The Bacillus Subtilis 2.0% AS offers multiple modes of action, making it tough for pathogens to develop resistance.
Improves Immunity: Mildown Biological fungicide helps improve natural crop immunity, reducing the risk of causing further diseases.
All-Round Protection: This Bacillus Subtilis 2.0% AS formula is effective against Seed, Soil, and Airborne Diseases, providing high protection.
Safe to Use: IPL Mildown fungicide contains no chemical components that can have adverse effects on the environment, making it safe to use.
Mildown fungicide covers a broad range of fungal and bacterial diseases across all major crop types:
Mildews: Downy Mildew, Powdery Mildew — Grapes, Cucurbits, Vegetables, Cereals
Blights: Early Blight, Late Blight, Leaf Blight — Tomato, Potato, Cotton
Rots: Root Rot, Stem Rot, Damping Off, Crown Rot — all vegetable and fruit crops
Leaf Spots: Brown Leaf Spot, Ring Spot, Narrow Leaf Spot — Paddy, Tomato, Cotton
Other Diseases: Anthracnose, Wilt, Rust, Scab, Die Back, Buck Eye Rot, Fruit Spots
Application Method | Dose | Timing |
|---|---|---|
Foliar Spray | 5–10 ml per litre of water (75–150 ml per 15L pump) | At first sign of disease; repeat every 7–10 days |
Soil Application | 1–2 litres per acre mixed with 200 kg FYM/compost | At land preparation, sowing, or transplanting |
Drip Irrigation | 1–2 litres per acre | At critical growth stages; follow with irrigation |
Seed Treatment | 10 ml per kg of seeds | Before sowing — coat uniformly; shade-dry |
Measure the required dose of IPL Mildown as per the application method and crop stage above.
For foliar spray, mix 5–10 ml per litre in clean water, agitate well, and load into the sprayer.
Spray evenly on both upper and lower leaf surfaces — thorough coverage is essential for effective leaf colonisation.
For soil application, mix 1–2 litres per acre with 200 kg FYM or compost, broadcast evenly across the field, and follow with light irrigation.
For drip irrigation, introduce the required quantity through the drip system during the last 20–30 minutes of the irrigation cycle.
For seed treatment, mix 10 ml of Bacillus Subtilis 2.0% AS per kg of seeds using a mild jaggery solution, coat uniformly, and shade-dry for 30 minutes before sowing.
Do not mix IPL Mildown Fungicide with chemical fungicides or bactericides — these destroy the live bacteria and reduce product effectiveness.
Apply during early morning or late evening and rinse the sprayer thoroughly with clean water after use.
Apply IPL Mildown in the early morning or late evening. Begin applications preventively before disease symptoms appear — especially during periods of high humidity and moderate temperature when fungal infections are most active. Preventive use gives far stronger and more consistent results than curative application.
Frequency of Application: Apply every 7–10 days during active disease pressure. Two to three applications per season are recommended for preventive management; increase frequency to every 7 days when disease symptoms are already visible.
Re-Entry Period: IPL Mildown Fungicide is non-toxic. No strict re-entry restriction applies. Allow foliar spray to dry before re-entering the treated field.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Compatible with most biofertilizers, bio-pesticides, and organic inputs. Do not mix with chemical fungicides, bactericides, or strong chemical fertilizers — these destroy the live Bacillus subtilis bacteria. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products.
Wear gloves and a face mask when measuring and mixing IPL Mildown fungicide.
Do not mix with chemical fungicides, bactericides, or copper-based products — this destroys the live Bacillus Subtilis 2.0% AS organisms.
Keep away from direct sunlight and heat during handling and storage.
Keep out of reach of children and farm animals at all times.
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after use.
Dispose of empty containers per local agricultural waste guidelines.
Store IPL Mildown in its original sealed container in a cool, dry, shaded place away from direct sunlight.
Do not store near chemical pesticides, fertilizers, or heat sources.
Keep away from food, animal feed, and seeds.

IPL Mildown Fungicide controls Downy Mildew, Powdery Mildew, Early and Late Blight, Root Rot, Damping Off, Anthracnose, Wilt, Leaf Spots, and other seed, soil, and airborne fungal diseases. Bacillus Subtilis 2.0% AS also improves crop resistance to bacterial diseases.
Bacillus Subtilis 2.0% AS colonises root and leaf surfaces, competing with fungal pathogens for space and nutrients. It produces lipopeptide antibiotics — iturin, fengycin, and surfactin — that destroy fungal cell walls and spores. Simultaneously, it triggers Induced Systemic Resistance in the plant, making it naturally stronger against infection.
Yes. IPL Mildown is classified under FRAC Group BM2, the Microbial Fungicide group, and is fully approved for certified organic farming. Bacillus Subtilis 2.0% AS is a naturally occurring organism that leaves no chemical residues in the soil or crop.
Chemical fungicides, particularly copper-based, sulphur-based, and systemic fungicides, are bactericidal and will kill the live Bacillus subtilis bacteria in IPL Mildown fungicide, rendering the product completely ineffective. Always apply Mildown biological fungicide separately and allow at least 48 hours before or after any chemical fungicide application.
Mildown fungicide begins colonising leaf and root surfaces within 24–48 hours of application. Visible reduction in fungal disease spread is typically observed within 5–7 days of the first spray.
