Valipro is an antibiotic fungicide containing Validamycin 3% L, derived through fermentation technology. It directly attacks the fungal hyphae, causing abnormal branching at the tips of the pathogen and stopping its further development completely. Valipro is the most trusted and widely recommended solution for Sheath Blight in Paddy, one of the most yield-damaging diseases in rice cultivation across India. It is safe for crops and the environment, compatible with most insecticides and fungicides, and is an excellent fit for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs. Available in multiple pack sizes, Validamycin 3% L is an affordable and reliable disease management solution for Paddy farmers across India.
Curative Control: Validamycin 3% L works even after the disease has started, stopping the disease from spreading to the leaves and upper plant parts.
Soil-Borne Disease Control: Highly effective against soil-borne pathogens, including Rhizoctonia solani, the primary cause of Sheath Blight in Rice.
Rainfast: Validamycin 3% L remains effective even after rainfall and does not wash off easily after application.
IPM Compatible: Validamycin 3% L is safe for beneficial insects, bees, birds, and the environment, suitable for Integrated Pest Management programs.
Resistance Breaker: Effective against fungal strains that have developed resistance to conventional fungicides.
Primary Disease: Sheath Blight (Rhizoctonia solani) in Paddy / Rice
Soil-Borne Diseases: Damping Off, Black Scurf, Root Rot
Other Crops: Black Rot in Tea
Mix Valipro in 200 litres of water per acre for foliar spray. Apply Validamycin 3% L at the first sign of disease or at the maximum tillering stage for best results.
Crop | Target Disease | Dose/Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Paddy | Sheath Blight | 400 to 500 ml | 30 to 40 ml | 14 days |
Rice | Black Rot | 400 to 500 ml | 30 to 40 ml | 7 days |
Note: Never exceed the recommended dose.
Measure the required dose of Valipro as per the dosage table.
Fill the sprayer halfway with clean water.
Add the required quantity of Valipro and fill with the remaining water.
Stir well to form a uniform solution.
Spray evenly and thoroughly — ensure coverage reaches the base and lower sheaths of the plant.
Apply a second spray 10–14 days after the first if disease pressure continues.
Rinse the sprayer with clean water after use.
Spray Validamycin 3% L at the maximum tillering stage (40–50 days after transplanting) or as soon as the first signs of Sheath Blight appear — early application prevents the disease from spreading upward to the flag leaf.
Frequency of Application: Apply at the first sign of disease. Repeat after 10–14 days if disease pressure continues. Two sprays per season are generally sufficient for effective control.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-mix Compatibility: Compatible with most commonly used insecticides and fungicides, including Cartap and Flubendiamide. Do not mix with alkaline chemicals like Bordeaux mixture. Always do a jar test before mixing.
Wear full protective gear, including gloves, goggles, and a face mask, before handling.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or spraying.
Wash all exposed skin with soap and water right after use.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for 24 hours.
Toxic to fish and aquatic organisms — avoid spraying near ponds, rivers, or fish farms.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and discard as per local waste guidelines.
Store in its original sealed container in a cool, dry, shaded area away from direct sunlight.
Keep away from food, animal feed, drinking water, and seeds.
Keep out of reach of children and farm animals at all times.
Storage Temperature: Below 35°C
Shelf Life: 2 years from the date of manufacture.

Controls Sheath Blight disease in Paddy caused by Rhizoctonia solani — one of the most yield-damaging fungal diseases in rice cultivation across India.
Spray in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cool, and wind speed is low. For Paddy, apply at the maximum tillering stage or as soon as the first signs of Sheath Blight appear near the water line.
Avoid watering immediately after spraying — wait at least 24 hours so Valipro is fully absorbed into the plant tissue. However, ensure sufficient soil moisture before spraying for better uptake and effectiveness.
Yes — Valipro is safe for crops, beneficial insects, bees, and birds when used at recommended doses. It is suitable for IPM programs. However, it is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms, so avoid spraying near water bodies.
Validamycin 3% L controls Sheath Blight disease in Paddy caused by Rhizoctonia solani. It directly attacks fungal hyphae, stops disease spread from the lower sheaths upward, and protects grain yield and quality.
