NCS NB-80 Sticking Agent is a non-ionic surfactant and efficacy-enhancing adjuvant by Noble Crop Science, designed to be tank-mixed with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and miticides to significantly improve their performance on the crop. It NB 80 reduces the surface tension of the liquid, allowing it to spread evenly across the leaf surface instead of beading up and rolling off. It also improves the adhesion of the spray solution to the leaf — keeping the chemical in contact with the plant for longer, even after light rain or irrigation. NB 80 also acts as a foliage dryer, removing excess moisture from leaf surfaces quickly. It is compatible with a wide range of agrochemicals and is suitable for use across all crop types.
Efficacy Enhancer: NB 80 improves the performance of every chemical it is tank-mixed with — whether it is a herbicide, insecticide, fungicide, or miticide.
Reduces Surface Tension: Lowers the surface tension of the spray solution, preventing droplets from beading up on waxy or hairy leaf surfaces and ensuring even, uniform coverage across the entire treated area.
Stronger Knockdown Effect: Improves the contact between the active chemical and the pest or pathogen, strengthening the knockdown speed and effectiveness of pesticides in the tank mix.
Rain-Fast Performance: The sticking action of NB 80 holds the spray solution firmly to the leaf surface — reducing washoff during light rain and extending the duration of chemical control after application.
Re-Wetting Ability: Even after the spray dries, NB 80 has re-wetting ability that helps redistribute chemicals on the leaf surface when moisture is present
Foliage Dryer Action: Rapidly dries excess moisture from the leaf surface, limiting the spread of moisture-dependent diseases and creating better conditions for chemical absorption.
Reduces Crop and Water Stress: Regular use helps reduce water stress on the crop by improving how efficiently applied solutions are absorbed — improving overall crop health and reducing stress-related yield loss.
Broad Compatibility: Compatible with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and miticides across all crop types — a single adjuvant for all spray programmes throughout the season.
NB 80 can be used as a tank-mix adjuvant with the following categories of agrochemicals across all crops:
Herbicides / Weedicides: Improves coverage and sticking of contact and systemic herbicides on weed foliage
Insecticides: Enhance contact between insecticide and pest, improving knockdown speed and residual action
Fungicides: Improves adhesion and rain-fastness of fungicide on leaf surfaces, extending protection duration
Miticides: Boosts coverage on mite-prone leaf undersides, improving mite contact and control
Suitable for all crops — field crops, vegetables, fruits, plantation crops, spices, and cereals.
Application | Dose | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Tank Mix with any agrochemical | 20 ml per 15 litres of water | Add to the spray tank after the main chemical; mix well before spraying |
Always check the label of the primary agrochemical before adding any adjuvant. Some product labels specify which type of adjuvant to use or restrict adjuvant use.
Measure the required dose of the primary agrochemical — herbicide, insecticide, fungicide, or miticide — as per its label instructions.
Fill the sprayer tank halfway with clean water.
Add the measured dose of the primary agrochemical and mix well.
Measure 20 ml of NB 80 per 15 litres of total spray volume and add to the tank.
Fill the tank with the remaining water and agitate to mix evenly before spraying.
Spray evenly on both upper and lower leaf surfaces for complete coverage.
Apply during cool hours — early morning or late evening — for best chemical absorption and to avoid rapid evaporation.
Rinse the sprayer tank thoroughly with clean water after every use.
Apply in early morning or late evening. Avoid spraying during strong winds, midday heat, or when rainfall is expected within 4 hours — even though NB 80 improves rain-fastness, allowing the spray adequate drying time gives the best results.
Frequency of Application: Use with every spray session where improved coverage, adhesion, or knockdown speed is needed. Follow the recommended dose of 20 ml per 15 litres — do not exceed this as excess adjuvant can cause phytotoxicity on sensitive crops.
Re-Entry Period: Follow the re-entry period of the primary agrochemical with which NB 80 is mixed. The adjuvant itself has no specific re-entry restriction.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Compatible with most herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and miticides. Always perform a jar test before mixing with any unfamiliar product. Do not mix with strongly alkaline products without testing first.
Wear gloves and a face mask when measuring and handling the sticking agent.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water if contact occurs.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Keep away from children, livestock, food, and water sources.
Follow all safety instructions of the primary agrochemical being mixed.
Dispose of empty containers as per local agricultural waste guidelines.
Store in the original sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep away from food, animal feed, and seeds.
Store out of reach of children and farm animals.
Storage Temperature: Below 35°C.
Shelf Life: As indicated on the product label.

A wetting and sticking agent like NB 80 is added to spray solutions to reduce surface tension and improve how the liquid spreads and adheres to the leaf surface. This results in better coverage, stronger pesticide contact with the pest or pathogen, and longer-lasting protection.
Yes. NB 80 is compatible with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and miticides. Always check the label of the primary pesticide before adding any adjuvant, as some pesticide labels specify adjuvant type or restrict their use.
Yes. By improving spray coverage and adhesion, a sticking agent ensures more of the applied chemical stays on the leaf surface and reaches the target pest or pathogen. This means the same dose of pesticide performs more effectively.
NB 80 bonds the spray solution to the leaf cuticle, making it resistant to light rain and irrigation within a few hours of application. This rain-fast property keeps the active chemical in contact with the target surface even if light showers follow spraying.
They are related but not identical. A spreader reduces surface tension to make the spray spread wider across the leaf, while a sticker specifically improves adhesion to keep the spray on the surface longer. NB 80 combines both properties.
