Sellrod is an insecticide that contains Chlorpyrifos 50% EC, which belongs to the organophosphorus chemical group. It is used to control insects and pests on different crops. 

Insecticides are biochemical pesticides that are naturally occurring substances that control pests by nontoxic mechanisms.

Mode of Action:

  • Sellrod Chlorpyrifos 50% EC works on Contact and Stomach Action. It acts on target pest nerves and inhibits their movement. 

  • Chlorpyriphos 50% EC Insecticides are biochemical pesticides that are naturally occurring substances that control pests by nontoxic mechanisms. 

  • Conventional pesticides, by contrast, are generally synthetic materials that directly kill or inactivate the pests. 

  • For example, a plant in the presence of chitosan will naturally induce systemic resistance (ISR) to allow the plant to defend itself against disease, pathogens, and pests.

Dosage:

  • 2 ml per litre water 

  • 400 ml per acre

Suitable Crops:

  • Sellrod is used to control crops such as Cotton and Rice.

Target Pest:

  • Sellrod Chlorpyrifos 50% EC has been seen as effective on Sucking, Chewing, Biting, and Boring pests like Boll worms, Stem borers, Leaf roller, Termites, etc., on crops like Cotton, Rice, etc.

Precaution: 

  • It is advisable to wear protective clothes. 

  • Avoid using regular utensils to mix the chemicals. 

  • Follow the guidelines and instructions carefully. 

  • Keep it at a distance from children’s reach.
