EBS Emaan-19 is a broad-spectrum contact and stomach insecticide that helps farmers control hard-to-kill caterpillars and a wide range of other crop pests. It contains Emamectin Benzoate 1.9% EC, which is a semi-synthetic compound derived from the natural avermectin family produced by Streptomyces bacteria. EBS Emaan-19 Insecticide works by acting on the insect's nervous system, blocking nerve signals and stopping feeding within hours of contact. This insecticide also shows ovi-larvicidal action, killing eggs and newly hatched larvae before they damage the crop. With a quick knockdown, low mammalian toxicity, and minimal effect on natural enemies, the product fits well in IPM programs.
Broad-Spectrum Control: EBS Emaan-19 controls bollworms, fruit borers, leaf folders, tobacco caterpillars, diamondback moth, thrips, and mites.
Fast Knockdown: This insecticide stops pest feeding within a few hours of contact, halting crop damage almost right away.
Ovi-Larvicidal Action: This insecticide kills newly hatched larvae from sprayed eggs, breaking the pest cycle before damage starts.
Rainfast in 2 Hours: This insecticide sticks to the leaf within 2 hours of spraying and resists wash-off from sudden rain.
Unique Mode of Action: This EBS Emaan-19 controls pests that have grown resistant to older chemistries, with little cross-resistance.
Safe for Natural Enemies: This insecticide has minimal effect on bees, ladybugs, spiders, and other helpful insects when used at the label dose.
Phytotonic Effect: EBS Emaan-19 Insecticide has a mild crop-tonic effect, giving healthier plants and better yield.
EBS Emaan-19 is registered and recommended for the following crops and pest groups:
Cotton: Bollworms (American, Spotted, Pink), Tobacco Caterpillar, Spodoptera
Paddy / Rice: Stem Borer, Leaf Folder, Armyworm
Tomato / Brinjal: Fruit Borer, Shoot and Fruit Borer, Tobacco Caterpillar
Chilli: Fruit Borer, Thrips, Mites
Okra: Shoot and Fruit Borer, Spotted Bollworm, Jassids
Cabbage / Cauliflower: Diamondback Moth, Cabbage Borer, Leaf-eating Caterpillar
Pulses and Oilseeds (Soybean, Groundnut, Safflower): Spodoptera, Helicoverpa, Pod Borer
Mix EBS Emaan-19 Insecticide in 150 to 200 litres of clean water per acre and spray evenly across the field. Apply at the first appearance of pests or egg masses for best results:
Crop | Target Pest | Dose / Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Cotton | Bollworms, Spodoptera | 80 to 100 ml | 7 to 8 ml | 7 days |
Paddy | Stem Borer, Leaf Folder | 80 to 100 ml | 7 to 8 ml | 7 days |
Tomato / Brinjal | Fruit Borer, Caterpillars | 80 to 100 ml | 7 to 8 ml | 5 days |
Chilli | Fruit Borer, Thrips | 80 to 100 ml | 7 to 8 ml | 5 days |
Okra | Shoot and Fruit Borer | 80 to 100 ml | 7 to 8 ml | 5 days |
Cabbage | Diamondback Moth | 80 to 100 ml | 7 to 8 ml | 5 days |
Soybean / Groundnut | Spodoptera, Pod Borer | 80 to 100 ml | 7 to 8 ml | 14 days |
Note: Never exceed the recommended dose.
Shake the EBS Emaan-19 bottle well before opening so the contents are evenly mixed.
Measure the right dose based on the crop and the table above.
Pour the liquid into a small amount of clean water and stir well to make a pre-mix.
Add this pre-mix into the spray tank, then top up with the rest of the water (150 to 200 L per acre).
Stir or shake the tank again so the spray solution stays uniform.
Use a knapsack or power sprayer with hollow-cone nozzles for fine droplets and even coverage.
Spray on both the upper and lower sides of leaves and on the fruiting parts where larvae usually hide.
Rinse the sprayer thoroughly with clean water after the work is finished.
Spray EBS Emaan-19 Insecticide during the cool hours, in the early morning or late evening, when the wind is calm. Apply at the egg-laying or early larval stage of the pest, when feeding damage is still small, for the strongest impact.
Frequency of Application: One well-timed spray of this insecticide per pest cycle is usually enough. A repeat spray can be done after 10 to 12 days if pest pressure stays high, but not more than 2 to 3 times per season.
Re-Entry Period: Stay out of the treated field for at least 12 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Compatibility: EBS Emaan-19 Insecticide is compatible with most fungicides, insecticides, and water-soluble fertilizers. Avoid mixing with strong alkaline products or Bordeaux mixture, and always do a small jar test first.
Do not spray EBS Emaan-19 during peak honeybee activity, since the wet spray can harm pollinators on contact even though it dries safely.
Avoid using the same sprayer that has had a herbicide inside, as even a small leftover residue can damage the treated crop.
Rotate EBS Emaan-19 with insecticides of a different mode of action every season, to slow down the build-up of resistance.
Do not spray under heavy dew or wet leaf surfaces, since the spray slides off and gives poor coverage.
If a tingling or numb feeling appears on the face or hands after spraying, wash with cool, clean water; this passes off quickly.
Keep the spray solution off ornamental fish ponds and aquaculture tanks, as the product is highly toxic to fish and aquatic life.
In case of accidental swallowing, do not force vomiting; take the patient to the nearest hospital along with the product label.
Store EBS Emaan-19 in its original tightly capped bottle in a cool, dry, shaded place away from direct sunlight.
Keep the product separate from food, animal feed, seeds, and drinking water at all times.
Always keep EBS Emaan-19 Insecticide out of reach of children, pets, and farm animals.

EBS Emaan-19 stops pest feeding within a few hours of contact, and visible kill happens within 1 to 3 days. The pest becomes paralyzed and stops damaging the crop almost immediately after spraying.
Resistance can build up if this insecticide is used too often in the same crop season. To slow this down, rotate the product with insecticides from other IRAC groups, and stick to the labelled dose.
EBS Emaan-19 has a low impact on natural enemies like ladybugs and spiders. However, it is toxic to honeybees on direct contact and highly toxic to fish, so avoid spraying during flowering hours or near water bodies.
Yes, EBS Emaan-19 is compatible with most common fungicides, insecticides, and water-soluble fertilizers. Avoid alkaline products like Bordeaux mixture and lime sulphur, and run a small jar test before tank mixing.
