UPL Triskele is a broad-spectrum, triple-action post-emergent herbicide that is effective against annual and perennial grassy weeds, broadleaf weeds, and sedges. It works by disrupting plant hormone activity, inhibiting photosynthesis, and blocking amino acid synthesis. This herbicide is especially suitable for sugarcane crops. The UPL Triskele herbicide is safe to use and offers long-lasting protection for the best results.
Triple Action: UPL Triskele herbicide targets three completely different weed biochemical processes simultaneously for effective results.
Effective Working: The Triskele herbicide is absorbed quickly and is translocated systemically throughout the weed.
Long-Lasting: This herbicide provides better long-lasting control through strong residual soil activity, ensuring the best protection.
Safe to Use: UPL Triskele has selective properties that ensure crop safety while targeting harmful weeds, making it safe to use.
Easy to Use: The Wettable Dispersible Granule (WDG) dissolves easily in water, ensuring simple and hassle-free application.
Triskele herbicide Uses cover all three weed categories in Sugarcane:
Annual and Perennial Grassy Weeds: Echinochloa spp. (Barnyard Grass), Cynodon dactylon (Bermuda Grass), Dactyloctenium aegyptium (Crowfoot Grass), Eleusine indica (Goosegrass)
Broadleaf Weeds: Amaranthus spp. (Pigweed), Portulaca oleracea (Purslane), Convolvulus arvensis (Bindweed), Parthenium hysterophorus (Congress Grass), Trianthema spp.
Sedges: Cyperus rotundus (Nutsedge / Motha), Cyperus iria (Flatsedge)
Registered Crop: Sugarcane
The Triskele herbicide Dosage is 1.2 kg per acre — equivalent to 120 gm per 15L pump in 200 litres of water per acre.
Crop | Target Weeds | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | Timing | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Sugarcane | Grasses, Broadleaf Weeds, Sedges | 1.2 kg | 120 gm | Post-emergence — 20–30 days after planting when weeds are actively growing at 2–4 leaf stage | As per label |
Measure 1.2 kg of Triskele herbicide per acre as per the dose table above.
Pre-dissolve the WDG granules in a small amount of clean water first, stir until fully dissolved, then add to the sprayer tank half-filled with water.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water — use 200 litres per acre — and mix well before spraying.
Use a flat fan nozzle for uniform broadcast coverage across the entire Sugarcane field.
Apply as a post-emergence spray 20–30 days after planting when weeds are actively growing at the 2–4 leaf stage.
Ensure adequate soil moisture at the time of application — dry conditions reduce foliar absorption and residual activity.
Do not spray during windy conditions or when rain is expected within 4–6 hours of application.
Rinse the sprayer thoroughly with clean water after use.
Apply UPL Triskele in the early morning or late evening. The 2–4 weed leaf stage — 20–30 days after Sugarcane planting — is the optimum application window. Applying at this stage eliminates the first and heaviest flush of weed competition during the most yield-sensitive establishment phase of the crop.
Frequency of Application: One well-timed post-emergence application per season is generally sufficient for season-long weed control in Sugarcane — the residual activity of Metribuzin and the systemic kill of all three active ingredients together maintain weed-free conditions for several weeks after application.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 12 hours after application. Allow the spray to dry and settle fully before re-entry.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: UPL Triskele is generally used as a standalone post-emergence application — it already provides full weed category coverage in one product. Consult the label before combining with any other herbicide. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products.
Apply only to Sugarcane — Triskele herbicide is not registered for any other crop and may damage sensitive crops if drift occurs onto adjacent fields.
Do not apply during the germination stage of Sugarcane — always wait until the crop is well established (20–30 days after planting) before applying.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Triskele herbicide.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
Do not allow spray drift onto adjacent crops — UPL Triskele contains 2,4-D, which will damage broadleaf crops in neighbouring fields.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 12 hours.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
Store UPL Triskele in its original sealed packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Keep tightly sealed after use to prevent moisture absorption.
Keep away from food, animal feed, and seeds.
Store out of reach of children and farm animals.
Storage Temperature: Below 35°C.
Shelf Life: As indicated on the product label.
