Tata Blitox is a broad-spectrum contact fungicide that works effectively against fungal diseases like early and late blight, leaf spot, and other diseases through contact mode of action. It works by releasing copper ions upon application, which stops fungal cell growth at initial stages and destroys them if fully grown. Along with fungal disease control, the Tata Blitox can also be used against certain bacterial diseases. The Blitox fungicide offers effective protection even in harsh weather as it has strong rainfast properties.

The Blitox fungicide dose per litre is 3 gm per litre of water — equivalent to 400 gm per acre in 200 litres of water and 30 gm per 15L pump across all registered crops.

How To Use Tata Blitox Fungicide:

Measure the required dose of Tata Blitox as per the crop-wise dose table above — 3 gm per litre of water.
Pre-mix the measured powder in a small amount of clean water to form a smooth slurry before adding to the sprayer tank.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water and mix thoroughly — the WP formulation requires continuous agitation to maintain a uniform suspension.
Spray evenly on both upper and lower leaf surfaces — thorough coverage of all leaf surfaces is essential for Blitox fungicide since it is a contact product that must be present on the surface the pathogen contacts.
Apply preventively before disease appears, or at the very first sign of infection — early application gives the strongest protective barrier formation.
Apply during early morning or late evening — avoid midday heat that accelerates evaporation and reduces coverage.
Re-apply after heavy rainfall or hailstorm events to restore the protective copper barrier on damaged tissue.
Rinse the sprayer thoroughly with clean water after every use.

Best Time to Apply:

Apply Tata Blitox in the early morning or late evening. Start preventive sprays before disease symptoms appear — particularly during humid, overcast, or rainy weather when fungal and bacterial diseases are most active. For Potato and Tomato blights, begin spraying from the vegetative stage before the monsoon season to build a consistent protective barrier.

Frequency of Application and Re-Entry Period:

Frequency of Application: Apply every 10–15 days during active disease pressure — or immediately after rain or hail events to restore the protective copper coating. Blitox fungicide can be applied multiple times per season as part of a rotation programme — rotate with systemic fungicides from different FRAC groups for comprehensive disease management.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Tata Blitox is generally compatible with most insecticides and fungicides. Avoid mixing with strongly alkaline products or Lime Sulphur. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar inputs.

Safety Precautions and Handling:

Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Blitox fungicide.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water if contact occurs.
Do not inhale the spray mist — copper compounds can irritate the respiratory tract.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 24 hours.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
