Sumitomo Danitol is a broad-spectrum, economical insecticide and acaricide containing Fenpropathrin 10% EC, which is effective against mites, leaf rollers, and more. It works by interfering with the voltage-gated sodium channels, which leads to cessation of feeding, irreversible paralysis, and eventual death of the pest. Sumitomo Danitol is very cost-effective as it offers broad-spectrum control for a long-lasting time while being compatible with other agro-inputs.

The Danitol Insecticide Dosage per litre of water is 1.5–2 ml per litre — equivalent to 350–400 ml per acre in 200 litres of water and 22–30 ml per 15L pump.

Measure the required dose of Danitol insecticide as per the crop-wise dose table above — 1.5–2 ml per litre of water.
Add the measured quantity to a small amount of water first to create a white emulsion before adding to the sprayer tank — this pre-mixing step ensures uniform distribution.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water and mix well before spraying.
Apply during the squaring and flowering stage in Cotton — when bollworm egg hatching and early larval entry are most likely.
For Paddy Leaf Folder and Stem Borer, apply at the active tillering stage when the first Dead Heart symptoms appear.
Use a hollow cone nozzle — ensure thorough coverage of the crop canopy for maximum contact with target pests and mites.
Spray during early morning or late afternoon — avoid peak midday heat and peak bee foraging hours as fenpropathrin 10% EC is toxic to bees.
Wash your hands and all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Apply Sumitomo Danitol in the early morning or late afternoon on a non-windy, non-rainy day. Early use of Danitol insecticide at the first sign of pest incidence gives the healthiest harvest and the most cost-effective pest management result per spray.
Frequency of Application: Frequency of Danitol insecticide application depends on pest incidence or severity — apply at the first sign of pest activity and repeat as needed based on field scouting. Do not exceed 2–3 applications per season — always rotate with products from different IRAC groups after 2 consecutive applications.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Sumitomo Danitol is compatible with most commercial fungicides and other insecticides. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products. Avoid spraying near fish ponds — fenpropathrin 10% EC is toxic to aquatic organisms.
Wear a mask, gloves, and full protective safety gear before handling or spraying Danitol insecticide.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
Toxic to bees — do not spray during active bee foraging hours or near beehives and flowering crops.
