Mode of action:

• Detailed breakdown of the mode of action of MAL50 Malathion 50% EC:

• Malathion enters the insect's body through contact, ingestion, or inhalation.

• Once inside the insect's body, enzymes convert malathion to its more toxic form, malaoxon. This process is called bioactivation.

• Malaoxon binds to an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase (AChE), which is found in nerve cells. AChE normally breaks down acetylcholine (ACh), a neurotransmitter that transmits signals between nerve cells.

• When malaoxon binds to AChE, it prevents the enzyme from breaking down ACh. This causes ACh to build up in the synapses, the junctions between nerve cells.

• The excess ACh overstimulates the insect's nervous system, leading to uncontrolled muscle contractions, tremors, paralysis, and eventually death.

Dosage:

• For Large applications, Use 250-300 ml per Acre Foliar Spray

• Domestic Use takes: 7 ml per litre of water.
