Katyayani Bordeaux mixture is a contact fungicide which is a mixture of high-quality Copper Sulphate and Calcium Hydroxide. It effectively helps prevent fungal diseases like powdery mildew, Downy mildew, and rot diseases. 

The Bordeaux mixture is mainly applied during monsoons and continuous heavy rains to prevent plant fungal diseases.

The Bordeaux mixture is a ready-to-use solution with a consistent pH. It is applied as a spray after being mixed with water.

Mode of Action:

• Targeting Spores: The copper ions in the Bordeaux mixture target fungal spores, the reproductive units of fungi.

• Enzyme Disruption: These copper ions interfere with enzymes in the spores, hindering their proper function.

• Germination Blockade: By disrupting these enzymes, the Bordeaux mixture prevents the spores from germinating and establishing fungal growth in the plant.
