IPL Griffin is a granular biological fertilizer that helps farmers boost soil fertility and naturally reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers. The product is an NPK Microbial Consortia containing live beneficial bacteria — Nitrogen Fixers (Azotobacter and Azospirillum), Phosphate Solubilizers, and Potassium Mobilizers — packed in a single carrier-based powder. Griffin Biological fertilizer works in the soil by fixing free nitrogen from the air, breaking down soil-locked phosphorus, and mobilizing tied-up potassium so that roots can absorb them easily. IPL Griffin fertilizer also boosts microbial activity in the root zone, improves soil structure, and supports faster germination and stronger growth.
Three Bacteria, One Pack: IPL Griffin combines nitrogen-fixing, phosphate-solubilizing, and potassium-mobilizing bacteria in one easy-to-use product.
Atmospheric Nitrogen Fixation: Griffin Biological fertilizer pulls free nitrogen from the air and converts it into plant-usable form right at the root zone.
Phosphorus Unlocking: IPL Griffin fertilizer breaks down soil-locked phosphorus into the soluble form that roots can absorb quickly.
Potassium Mobilization: This microbial consortium releases potassium from soil minerals, making it easy for the crop to take up.
Lowers Fertilizer Cost: Regular use of IPL Griffin fertilizer can cut urea, DAP, and MOP needs by 20 to 25% without losing yield.
Improves Soil Health: Griffin Biological fertilizer builds long-term soil structure, microbial diversity, and water-holding capacity.
Eco-Friendly and Safe: Griffin Biological fertilizer is non-toxic and safe for soil microbes, pollinators, and farm workers.
IPL Griffin fertilizer is recommended for the following crop groups:
Cereals (Paddy, Wheat, Maize, Sorghum, Bajra): Boosts tillering, root growth, grain filling, and overall plant vigour.
Pulses and Oilseeds (Chickpea, Soybean, Groundnut, Mustard): Improves nodulation, pod setting, seed weight, and oil content.
Vegetables (Tomato, Chilli, Brinjal, Onion, Cabbage): Reduces transplant shock, improves uniform growth, and gives better-sized produce.
Fruits and Plantation (Banana, Mango, Grapes, Coconut, Areca, Cocoa): Improves root spread, fruit size, weight, and overall yield.
Commercial Crops (Cotton, Sugarcane, Tea, Coffee): Strengthens roots, boosts cane and fibre quality, and improves stress tolerance.
Floriculture and Nurseries: Improves seedling establishment, root growth, bloom count, and overall plant health.
Mix IPL Griffin fertilizer in clean, unchlorinated water and apply through a suitable method. Dissolve the granules fully before use:
Application Method | Dose | When to Apply |
|---|---|---|
Foliar Spray | 3 to 5 g per litre of water (500 g per acre) | Vegetative and flowering stages |
Drip Irrigation | 2 kg per acre | Early root and active growth stages |
Soil Application | 2 kg per acre (mix with FYM or compost) | At land preparation or basal dose |
Seed Treatment | 5 to 10 g per kg of seed | Before sowing, dry in shade |
Note: Use only the recommended dose for best results.
Open the IPL Griffin fertilizer pack carefully and measure the required quantity using a clean weighing scale.
For soil application, mix 2 kg of the granules with 50 to 100 kg of well-rotted FYM or compost and broadcast over the field.
For drip irrigation, dissolve the granules in unchlorinated water and then pour them into the drip tank.
For foliar spray, pre-dissolve the powder in a bucket of clean water and add it to the sprayer.
For seed treatment, mix the powder with a sticky liquid like jaggery solution, coat the seeds evenly, and dry in shade before sowing.
Apply preferably during early morning or late evening hours when the soil is moist.
Avoid mixing the granules directly into hot, dry soil; light irrigation just before or after gives better bacterial survival.
Reseal the pack tightly after use to keep moisture and contamination out.
Apply Griffin Biological fertilizer when the soil is moist, especially during the early growth stage and before basal fertilizer application. The cool hours of early morning or late evening protect the live bacteria from sun damage and give them the best chance to settle in the soil.
Frequency of Application: Apply IPL Griffin fertilizer 2 to 3 times per crop season — at sowing, vegetative, and flowering stages. For perennial crops, apply twice a year before and after the monsoon.
Re-Entry Period: There is no waiting period. Field work can resume once the spray dries on the leaves or the drench is absorbed into the soil.
Compatibility: Griffin Biological fertilizer should not be mixed with chemical fungicides, bactericides, or strong chemicals that can kill the live bacteria. Maintain at least a 7 to 10-day gap before or after chemical fungicide application.
Do not use chlorinated tap water for diluting IPL Griffin fertilizer, since the chlorine kills the friendly bacteria; use stored or filtered water instead.
Keep the pack below 35°C at all times, as high temperatures and direct sunlight will kill the live bacteria inside the granules.
Apply Griffin Biological fertilizer at least 7 to 10 days before or after any chemical fungicide or seed dressing chemical to protect the bacteria.
Wash sprayers, drums, and seed-treatment trays with plain water before use, as soap or detergent residue harms the live bacteria.
Use the product within the printed expiry date, since the bacterial count drops fast after the date passes.
Do not freeze the pack or store it near the kitchen stove or heater, as both extremes kill the bacteria.
Wear gloves and a mask during measuring, and avoid eating, drinking, or smoking while handling the granules.
Store IPL Griffin fertilizer in its original sealed pack in a cool, shaded place between 15°C and 30°C.
Keep the product away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and chemical pesticide storage areas.
Always keep Griffin Biological fertilizer out of reach of children, pets, and farm animals.
Storage Temperature: Between 15°C and 30°C
Shelf Life: 1 year from the date of manufacture when stored sealed and cool.

IPL Griffin fertilizer cannot fully replace chemical fertilizers in the first year. With regular use over 2 to 3 seasons, the live bacteria improve soil fertility, and farmers can usually cut urea, DAP, and MOP needs by 20 to 25% while keeping the same yield.
Griffin Biological fertilizer contains living bacteria that stay active only for a limited time, even in good storage. After 1 year, the bacterial count drops sharply, and the product loses its effectiveness, so always check the manufacturing date before buying.
Do not mix IPL Griffin fertilizer with chemical fungicides, bactericides, or strong seed-treatment chemicals, since they kill the live bacteria. Apply the biological product at least 7 to 10 days before or after any chemical seed dressing for safe use.
For annual field crops, 2 to 3 applications of IPL Griffin fertilizer per season give the best results — at sowing, vegetative, and flowering stages. For perennial fruit and plantation crops, two doses per year, before and after the monsoon, work well.
