FMC Marshal insecticide is a broad-spectrum insecticide that offers a contact and stomach mode of action against pests like Jassids, Aphids, Thrips, and other pests. It works by blocking an essential enzyme in the pest that stops nerve signals in the insect, leading to continuous nerve impulses, causing paralysis and death. The Marshal insecticide offers long-lasting protection and can be mixed with other agri-inputs, making it highly versatile and effective.
Key Features and Benefits of Marshal Insecticide:
Dual Action: The Marshal insecticide provides contact and stomach modes of action, ensuring effective protection.
Complete Coverage: FMC Marshal insecticide has a phloem-systemic movement, which ensures complete crop coverage.
High Compatibility: This Carbosulfan 25% EC can be mixed with other commonly used insecticides and fungicides.
Long-Lasting: The FMC Marshal insecticide offers long-lasting residual protection, reducing the need for frequent applications.
Broad-Spectrum: This Carbosulfan 25% EC insecticide helps control a wide range of pests such as Aphids, Jassids, Thrips, and many others.
Marshal Insecticide Uses — What Does It Control?
The Carbosulfan 25% EC is effective against sucking, boring, and hopper pests across all registered crops:
Sucking Pests: Aphids, Jassids, Thrips, Whiteflies
Hopper Pests: Green Leaf Hopper (GLH), Brown Plant Hopper (BPH), White-Backed Plant Hopper (WBPH)
Boring Pests: Stem Borer, Gall Midge, Shoot and Fruit Borer

Registered Crops: Paddy / Rice, Chilli, Brinjal, Cotton, Cumin, Pomegranate
Carbosulfan 25% EC Dose — Recommended Dose:
The Marshal insecticide Dose Per Litre is 1–1.5 ml per litre of water for most foliar applications.
Crop | Target Pest | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
Paddy / Rice | GLH, BPH, WBPH, Gall Midge, Stem Borer, Leaf Folder | 200–250 ml | 15–19 ml | 14–16 days |
Chilli | Aphids, Thrips, Sucking Pests | 320–500 ml | 24–37 ml | 8 days |
Brinjal | Shoot and Fruit Borer, Sucking Pests | 320–500 ml | 24–37 ml | 7 days |
Cotton | Jassids, Aphids, Thrips | 320–500 ml | 24–37 ml | 21 days |
Cumin | Aphids, Thrips | 320–500 ml | 24–37 ml | As per label |
Pomegranate | Aphids, Thrips, Borers | 320–500 ml | 24–37 ml | As per label |
How to Use FMC Marshal Insecticide:
Measure the required dose of Carbosulfan 25% EC as per the crop-wise dose table above.
Add the measured quantity to a sprayer tank half-filled with clean water and mix well before topping up.
Fill with the remaining clean water and agitate thoroughly to form a uniform emulsion before spraying.
Use a hollow cone or flat fan nozzle for thorough coverage — ensure spray reaches the underside of leaves where hoppers and borers are most active.
Apply at the first sign of pest activity or when pest populations reach the Economic Threshold Level.
Spray during early morning or late evening — avoid spraying during peak honeybee foraging hours.
For Paddy hopper control, direct the spray toward the base of the plant where hoppers congregate near the waterline.
Rinse all sprayer equipment thoroughly with clean water after every use.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply Carbosulfan 25% EC in the early morning or late evening. For Paddy hoppers and borers, apply during the active tillering stage when pest populations first reach the economic threshold. For sucking pests in Chilli and Brinjal, apply at the first sign of colony formation on young leaves and shoots.
Frequency of Application and Re-Entry Period:
Frequency of Application: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation. Repeat every 10–15 days if pest pressure continues. Do not exceed 2–3 applications per season — rotate with an insecticide from a different IRAC group after 2 consecutive Carbosulfan 25% EC applications to prevent resistance.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Carbosulfan 25% EC is compatible with most insecticides and fungicides. Avoid mixing with strongly alkaline products. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar inputs.
Safety Precautions and Handling:
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Carbosulfan 25% EC.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
Toxic to bees and aquatic organisms — do not spray during active bee foraging hours, near beehives, ponds, rivers, or fish farms.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 24 hours.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
