Technical Name:- Clodinafop - Propargyl 15% WP
Lucifer is a post-emergence herbicide for control of most of the important grass weeds in Wheat.
Mode of Action:-
It belongs to the chemical family Aryloxyphenoxypropionate 'FOPs'. The active ingredient clodinafoppropargylare is absorbed through the leaves and shoots. They are rapidly translocated in the plants and accumulate in the meristematic tissues. The achieved result is inhibition of the enzyme acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACC-ase). Within 48 hours after application, susceptible grass species cease to grow. Symptoms are observed within one to three weeks depending on the environmental conditions and species involved. Decay of nodes and growing points is visible with young leaves showing chlorosis followed by necrosis.
