Adama Plethora is a broad-spectrum insecticide that is effective against pests like Helicoverpa armigera, stem borer, leaf roller, and other pests through a systemic mode of action. It works by disrupting the formation of chitin, which prevents it from molting, and acts as a sodium channel blocker, leading to paralysis and death. The Plethora insecticide offers high compatibility with great resistance management, making it highly versatile and cost-effective.
Dual Formula: Plethora insecticide offers a combinational formula that offers two different modes of action for effective protection.
Prevents Pest Growth: Adama Plethora insecticide prevents moulting and reproduction in pests, stopping pest growth completely.
Prolonged Effects: This insecticide lasts for a longer period as it offers strong systemic action, reducing the need for frequent application.
High Compatibility: Adama Plethora insecticide can be mixed with other commonly used pesticides and fertilizers, improving the overall efficacy.
Resistance Management: The combinational formula of the Adama Plethora insecticide makes it tough for the pests to develop resistance.
Plethora Insecticide Uses target the complete Lepidopteran pest complex across all registered crops:
Caterpillars and Armyworms: Helicoverpa armigera (American Bollworm), Spodoptera litura (Tobacco Caterpillar), Fall Armyworm, Cutworm, Semilooper
Borers: Stem Borer (Rice), Bollworm (Cotton)
Pod Feeders: Pod Borer Complex — Chickpea, Red Gram
Leaf Feeders: Diamondback Moth (DBM), Leaf Roller, Leaf-Eating Caterpillar
Registered Crops: Tomato, Rice, Chilli, Red Gram, Groundnut, Chickpea, Blackgram
The Plethora Insecticide Dosage per litre of water is 2 ml per litre — equivalent to 30 ml per 15L pump and 175–350 ml per acre depending on crop type.
Crop | Target Pest | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Tomato | Fruit Borer, Leaf-Eating Caterpillar | 330–350 ml | 30 ml | 3 days |
Rice | Leaf Folder | 175 ml | 15 ml | 14 days |
Chilli | Spodoptera, Helicoverpa, Semilooper | 350 ml | 30 ml | 3 days |
Red Gram | Pod Borer Complex | 350 ml | 30 ml | 7 days |
Groundnut | Helicoverpa, Spodoptera litura | 350 ml | 30 ml | 14 days |
Chickpea | Pod Borer Complex | 350 ml | 30 ml | 7 days |
Blackgram | Spodoptera, Helicoverpa, Semilooper | 350 ml | 30 ml | 7 days |
Read the instructions carefully before using Plethora insecticide.
Measure the required dose of Adama Plethora as per the crop-wise table above — 2 ml per litre of water.
Pre-mix in a small amount of clean water before adding to the sprayer tank.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water and agitate well to form a uniform suspension before spraying.
Use a hollow cone nozzle for thorough coverage — ensure spray reaches the underside of leaves and the growing points where Lepidopteran larvae feed most actively.
Apply at the early larval stage — at the first sign of egg hatching or 1st–2nd instar feeding for the most effective chitin inhibition and knockdown.
Do not spray during windy or rainy weather conditions — wait for calm, dry weather for best absorption and residual activity.
Wash hands properly after using the product and rinse sprayer equipment with clean water after every use.
Apply Adama Plethora in the early morning or late evening. For Tomato Fruit Borer and Chilli caterpillars, apply at the first sign of larval feeding on flowers and young fruit. For Rice Leaf Folder, apply during the active tillering stage when leaf folding damage first appears.
Frequency of Application: Apply at the Economic Threshold Level — 1–2 larvae per plant for most crops. Plethora insecticide provides 10–14 days of residual control — repeat as needed, up to 2–3 times per season. Always rotate with insecticides from different IRAC groups after 2 consecutive applications.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 12 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Adama Plethora can be used with other pesticides and fertilizers. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products. Avoid mixing with strongly alkaline inputs.
Read the instructions carefully before using Adama Plethora.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Plethora insecticide.
