Metriagan belongs to triazinone group. It is a selective systemic herbicide, absorbed predominantly by the roots, but also by the leaves, with translocation acropetally in the xylem.

Metriagan is both a contact and residual herbicide for the control of annual broad-leaved weeds and grasses in potatoes.
