Katyayani Dr Zole is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide that contains Azoxystrobin and Tebuconazole, which inhibits respiration and ergosterol synthesis of the fungus. It works as a protective barrier on the surface and also inside the tissues. It is a suspension concentrate (SC) formulation, which means it is a liquid mixture that needs to be shaken well before use. Dr Zole exhibits Systemic and Translaminar movement and disperses rapidly in the plant system.
Mode of Action:
It is a type of fungicide that combines two different modes of action to control a wide range of fungal diseases in various crops.
- Azoxystrobin (11%) belongs to the strobilurin class of fungicides. It works by inhibiting fungal spore germination and mycelial growth by disrupting cellular respiration. This means it prevents the fungus from producing the energy it needs to survive and reproduce.
- Tebuconazole (18.3%) is a triazole fungicide. It interferes with ergosterol biosynthesis, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes. By disrupting the cell membrane, tebuconazole effectively kills the fungus.
