How to Use Prostar Insecticide:
Wear gloves and a face mask before opening the pack.
Measure the required dose using a clean spoon or weighing cup.
Pre-mix the Prostar Insecticide with a little water in a bucket to form a smooth slurry.
Add the slurry to a half-filled spray tank and top up with the remaining water while stirring.
Use a fine-mist or hollow-cone nozzle for proper droplet size and even spread.
Spray during calm conditions, covering both upper and lower leaf surfaces.
Apply 150 to 200 litres of water per acre so the whole canopy gets full coverage.
Best Time to Apply:
The best time to use Prostar Insecticide is at the very first appearance of worm activity in the field — when tiny caterpillars are starting to feed, fresh bored holes are visible on fruits, or chewed leaves are spotted on shoots. Younger larvae are far more sensitive than fully grown worms, so don't delay the spray. Late afternoon or early evening hours give the best results, as caterpillars are most active during this period and pick up more of the spray as they move and chew.
Frequency of Application and Re-entry Period:
Frequency: 2 to 3 sprays per crop cycle at 10 to 14-day intervals, depending on worm pressure.
Re-Entry: Wait at least 12 to 24 hours before re-entering treated fields without protective gear.
Compatibility: Prostar mixes well with most common fungicides, insecticides, and water-soluble fertilizers. Avoid alkaline tank-mix partners like Bordeaux mixture, and always do a quick jar test before mixing anything new.
