IPL Kalichakra Metarhizium anisopliae 1.0% W.P. (Powder) is an eco-friendly biological insecticide that provides effective control over a wide range of soil and sucking pests. It specifically targets white grubs, root grubs, termites, cutworms, Pyrilla, mealybugs, and aphids. The bio-agent works by infecting and eliminating insect pests at different life stages, ensuring long-term pest management in crops such as sugarcane, cotton, groundnut, maize, sorghum, and various vegetables and fruit crops.

Mode of Action:

It infects all the stages of insects including eggs, larvae, pupal, nymphal, and adult’s. The spores attach to insect skin, germinate and penetrate the insect body, and cause mortality by feeding on the insect, leakage of internal contents, and toxins such as dextrusion released by the fungus. The insect body ultimately gets covered with green mycelium and spores, which may get dispersed and cause subsequent infections.

Method of Application:

• Soil Application: For soil insect pests like White Grubs, Agrotis species, etc. Mix 2 Kg of Kalichakra with 200 kg of well-decomposed fym/compost/field soil and broadcast in the field of 1 acre at the time of field preparation or in standing crop.

• Foliar Spray: It can be applied @ 2 Kg per acre (1L per acre) in 150-200 liters of water for sucking pest control. As a foliar spray apply uniformly over crop using a hand sprayer or power sprayer with an appropriate hollow cone nozzle for fine mist generation.

Target Pests:

• White grubs, root grubs, cutworms, Pyrilla, termites, mealybugs, aphids, beetles, and other sucking pests.

Dosage: 

• 2 kg/acre

Crops: 

• Brinjal, Sugarcane, Cotton, Groundnut, Maize, Sorghum, Barley, Rice, Potato, Soybean, Oranges, Vegetables and Fruit crops

Precautions:

• Apply at the first sign of pest infestation.

• Repeat application after 7 days if necessary.

• Avoid direct exposure to sunlight during storage and application.

• Use recommended safety gear while spraying.
