Recommended Crop Management Practices For Bioseed Godavari (7211-2):
- For best results, maintain row-to-row spacing of 90 cm and plant-to-plant spacing of 60 cm in irrigated land and maintain the spacing of 90 x 30 cm in rainfed areas.
- Apply 4-5 tonnes of farm yard manure or compost 1 month before sowing.
- Apply 12:30:30 kg of N:P: K per acre at the time of sowing, and additionally apply 30 kg N at 30 days after sowing and 24 kg N at 60 days after sowing.
- In rainfed areas, apply 10:24:24 kg N:P: K per acre at the time of sowing and additionally apply 19 kg N at 30 & 60 days after sowing.
- Spray (19:19:19) NPK @ 1 kg per acre at 70-75 days and 90-95 days crop stages.
- Spray NAA (Planofix) @ 6 ml per 10 litres of water at 70-75 days and 90-95 days crop stages.
- Spray recommended insecticide to control sucking pests at 30 days after sowing.
- Use recommended chemicals and fungicides for effective disease management.
- Practice Nipping (removal of top bud) when the crop is 5-6 ft tall (70-80 days crop stage).
- For best results, apply 24 kg of potassium (K) per acre at 60 days after sowing.
- At the 90-day crop stage, spray 2% zinc sulphate (ZnSO4) and 2% magnesium sulphate (MgSO4).
