These times were managed with the help of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), insurance, and funding. In 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2024, the government provided Rs. 3795 crores, 500 crores, 630 crores, and 1419 crores simultaneously.

This package is announced to recover 42 lakh hectares and assist around 17 lakh farmers, marking the highest amount of compensation in the last 5 years.
Farmers who have suffered from 33% or more loss are eligible to apply for applying in this package. These payments are to be credited directly to the farmer's bank account with DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). Additionally, the government will also procure damaged crops at the MSP of 15,000 crores, ensuring income stability.
