Tata Glytaf 71 is a high-strength, non-selective, systemic weed killer that offers a strong formula that offers strong systemic mode of action. It works by being absorbed in the green foliage, translocated throughout the plant's vascular system, and kills the weed entirely from the root to the tip. The Glytaf 71 herbicide is suitable against a wide range of weeds due to its high-concentration formula and also offers rainfast properties for great protection even in harsh weather.
Key Features and Benefits of Tata Glytaf 71:
High Concentration: Tata Glytaf 71 herbicide offers a strong formula that is nearly double the active ingredient per gram for effective weed relief.
Broad-Spectrum: The Tata Glytaf 71 herbicide is effective against annual grasses and biennial broadleaf weeds to sedges and woody shrubs.
Effective Clearing: Tata Glytaf 71 herbicide kills the weeds from tip to roots, stopping them from regrowing.
No Soil Residual: This herbicide starts breaking down when it touches the soil, leaving behind no residue that can affect the crops.
Rainfast Properties: Once applied, the Tata Glytaf 71 herbicide is absorbed by the weeds and can’t be washed away easily by rain.
Tata Glytaf 71 Herbicide Uses — Target Weeds and Areas:
Tata Glytaf 71 Herbicide Uses cover the widest range of weed types and application areas:
Annual Grassy Weeds: Barnyard Grass, Crowfoot Grass, Crabgrass, Goosegrass

Broadleaf Weeds: Amaranthus spp. (Pigweed), Parthenium hysterophorus (Congress Grass), Bindweed
Sedges: Cyperus rotundus (Nutsedge/Motha)
Woody Perennials and Scrubs: Established deep-rooted perennial plants in forestry and non-crop areas
Registered Use Areas: Tea Plantations, Roadsides, Bunds, Irrigation Channels, Forestry, Public Spaces, Non-Crop Areas
Tata Glytaf 71 Dose — Recommended Dose:
The Tata Glytaf 71 Herbicide Dose Per Litre is 6–8 gm per litre of water — equivalent to 100 gm per 15 litres of water.
Use Area | Dose Per Litre | Per 15L Pump | Notes |
Tea Plantations — Annual Weeds | 6–7 gm | 90–105 gm | Directed spray between rows |
Tea Plantations — Perennial Weeds | 7–8 gm | 105–120 gm | Higher dose for tough, established weeds |
Non-Crop / Roadsides / Bunds | 7–8 gm | 105–120 gm | Broadcast or directed spray on all actively growing weeds |
How To Use Tata Glytaf 71 Herbicide:
Wear proper PPE — gloves, goggles, and a face mask — before handling or mixing Tata Glytaf 71.
Dissolve the measured dose of Tata Glytaf 71 herbicide in a small amount of clean water first, then pour it into the half-filled sprayer tank.
Fill the tank with the remaining clean water and mix well before starting to spray.
Use a flat fan nozzle with a spray hood for Tea inter-row applications — the spray should be directed strictly at ground-level weed foliage and never at the Tea bushes themselves.
Apply when weeds are actively growing — young and growing weeds absorb Tata Glytaf 71 faster and die more completely than stressed or dormant plants.
Make sure the weather is dry and calm for at least 4–6 hours after spraying — avoid windy conditions that can cause the spray to drift onto non-target crops.
Never spray Tata Glytaf 71 herbicide directly on crops — it is non-selective and will kill any green plant it contacts.
Rinse the sprayer thoroughly with clean water after use before applying any crop protection product.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply Tata Glytaf 71 in the early morning or late evening when the air is calm. This reduces the chance of spray drift and ensures the product has enough still time to be absorbed fully into weed foliage.
Frequency of Application and Re-Entry Period:
Frequency of Application: One well-timed application per weed flush is typically sufficient. Repeat for new flushes of weed emergence as they appear across the season.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated areas for at least 24 hours after spraying. Keep livestock away from treated areas until weeds have completely died down and dried out.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Tata Glytaf 71 herbicide is generally used as a standalone product. Hard or alkaline water reduces the efficiency of Glyphosate — use clean, soft water for mixing. A jar test is advisable before combining with other herbicides.
Important Notes:
Tata Glytaf 71 is prohibited in Punjab, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra — do not buy or apply in these states.
Do not spray directly on any food crop.
Thoroughly rinse sprayer equipment before using it on crops after spraying Tata Glytaf 71 herbicide.

Do not spray near food crops, water bodies, beehives, or populated areas.
