Thiamethoxam acts systemically on the insect nervous system by affecting nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. Chlorantraniliprole activates ryanodine receptors, causing calcium release in insect muscles, resulting in feeding cessation, paralysis, and death of susceptible pests.
