PI Pressedo is a modern insecticide used for controlling major chewing pests in paddy, cabbage, brinjal, and sugarcane crops. It offers both systemic and contact modes of action, and it works by modulating receptors in pests, leading to rapid feeding cessation, muscle contraction, paralysis, and death. The Pressedo insecticide offers quick pest control with long-lasting protection and rain-fast protection. This insecticide is also very versatile as it offers broad-spectrum protection.
Key Features and Benefits of Pressedo Insecticide:
Quick Action: The Pressedo insecticide affects pest muscle function, helping larvae stop feeding soon after exposure.
Dual Action: PI Pressedo offers a dual mode of action through contact and stomach action, providing better results.
Systemic Support: Pressedo insecticide moves within treated plant parts and supports better control of hidden-feeding larvae.
Longer Field Protection: This insecticide supports extended pest control through residual action, ensuring better crop protection.
Rainfast Support: PI Pressedo gives better field performance as it is rainfast, helping farmers during uncertain weather.
Pressedo Insecticide Uses:
Paddy: PI Pressedo helps control stem borer and leaf folder that damage tillers, leaves, and panicle development.
Cabbage: Pressedo insecticide supports control of diamondback moth and caterpillars that feed on leaves and reduce head quality.
Brinjal: PI Pressedo helps manage shoot and fruit borers that damage tender shoots, flowers, and fruits.
Sugarcane: Pressedo insecticide supports borer management in sugarcane when applied at the right crop and pest stage.
Early Larval Stage: PI Pressedo works best when larvae are small and actively feeding on treated crop parts.
PI Pressedo Dose:
Use PI Pressedo as a foliar spray with clean water. Pressedo Insecticide Dose is generally 1 ml per litre of water, 15 ml per 15-litre spray pump, or around 150 ml per acre. Pressedo insecticide should be sprayed uniformly so the solution reaches leaves, shoots, fruits, whorls, stems, and pest-feeding areas. PI Pressedo works better when spray coverage is complete, and larvae are still young.
Crop | Target Pest | Dose per Acre | Application Method | PHI |
Paddy / Rice | Stem borer and leaf folder | 150 to 160 ml | Foliar spray with canopy and lower-area coverage | 35 days or follow label |
Cabbage | Diamondback moth and caterpillars | 150 ml | Foliar spray with full leaf coverage | Follow label |
Brinjal | Shoot and fruit borer | 150 ml | Spray on shoots, flowers, and fruits | Follow label |
Sugarcane | Stem borer and caterpillar-type pests | 150 ml | Directed foliar spray as per crop stage | Follow label |
Other Crops | Early larval pest pressure | 150 ml | Uniform foliar spray with clean water | Follow label |
How to Use PI Pressedo:
Measure the required PI Pressedo quantity as per acre area and pest pressure.
Fill the spray tank halfway with clean water.
Mix the measured Pressedo insecticide quantity in a small amount of water first.
Add the prepared PI Pressedo solution into the main spray tank.
Add the remaining water and stir the spray mixture properly.
Spray Pressedo insecticide uniformly on the crop canopy.
In paddy, cover leaves, tillers, and the lower crop area properly.
In cabbage, spray both outer and inner leaves where larvae may feed.
In brinjal, cover tender shoots, flowers, fruits, and lower leaf surfaces.
In sugarcane, apply PI Pressedo toward borer-active crop parts as per field need.
Use a hollow cone or suitable nozzle for better coverage.
Avoid spraying during strong wind, rainfall, or very hot afternoon weather.
Use the prepared Pressedo insecticide spray solution on the same day.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply PI Pressedo when early pest symptoms or small larvae are first noticed in the field. Pressedo insecticide performs better when pests are actively feeding, and the spray reaches their feeding spots. In paddy, apply before stem borer and leaf folder damage spreads heavily. In brinjal and cabbage, use PI Pressedo before larvae enter deep into fruits, shoots, or folded leaves. Morning or evening spray is better because crop stress and spray loss are lower.
Frequency of Application and Re-Entry Period:
Frequency of Application: One timely Pressedo insecticide spray can help manage early to moderate larval pest pressure. Repeat PI Pressedo only if pest pressure continues and label guidance allows it.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter the treated field for at least 24 hours after Pressedo insecticide application without proper protective gear.
Compatibility: PI Pressedo should not be mixed with unknown pesticides, fertilizers, micronutrients, or alkaline products without a jar test.
Application Care: Pressedo insecticide gives better results when spray coverage reaches pest-feeding areas properly.
Resistance Care: Rotate PI Pressedo with other suitable insecticide groups and avoid repeated use of the same chemistry in every spray cycle.
Seasonal Care: Avoid unnecessary repeated sprays of Pressedo insecticide in the same crop season. Follow label limits and local crop guidance.
