Empala is a broad-spectrum dual-action insecticide that helps farmers tackle both caterpillars and sucking pests in the same spray. It contains Emamectin Benzoate 1.5% + Fipronil 3.5% SC, which works through three routes: contact, stomach, and systemic. The product also shows ovicidal action, killing eggs and larvae soon after they hatch and saving the crop from further damage. Empala has a mild phyto-tonic effect that keeps plants greener and supports better yield. This Emamectin Benzoate 1.5% + Fipronil 3.5% SC formula is widely used on chilli, cotton, onion, garlic, cumin, tomato, and other vegetables.
Dual Action: Empala kills both caterpillars (Lepidopteran pests) and sucking pests like thrips, aphids, and jassids in a single spray.
Three-Way Attack: Emamectin Benzoate 1.5% + Fipronil 3.5% SC works as a contact, stomach, and systemic poison, hitting the pest from multiple sides.
Ovi-Larvicidal Effect: Empala kills the larvae soon after they hatch, stopping the next round of damage before it starts.
Quick Knockdown: Caterpillars stop feeding within 2 hours of contact, so visible crop damage halts almost right away.
Good Rain Cover: Emamectin Benzoate 1.5% + Fipronil 3.5% SC sticks to the leaf within about 4 hours and resists wash-off from light rain.
Plant Health Boost: Empala has a mild phyto-tonic effect that improves leaf colour, branching, and overall crop vigour.
Versatile Use: Emamectin Benzoate 1.5% + Fipronil 3.5% SC can be applied as a foliar spray, soil drench, seedling dip, or seed treatment.
Empala is registered and recommended for the following crops and pest groups:

Mix Empala in 150 to 200 litres of clean water per acre and spray evenly across the field. Apply at the first sign of pest activity for best results:
Crop | Target Pest | Dose / Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Chilli | Thrips, Fruit Borer | 200 to 250 ml | 20 to 25 ml | 7 days |
Cotton | Bollworms, Thrips, Whiteflies | 200 to 250 ml | 20 to 25 ml | 14 days |
Onion / Garlic | Thrips, Mites | 200 to 250 ml | 20 to 25 ml | 7 days |
Cumin | Thrips, Aphids | 200 to 250 ml | 20 to 25 ml | 14 days |
Tomato | Fruit Borer, Whiteflies | 200 to 250 ml | 20 to 25 ml | 7 days |

Note: Never exceed the recommended dose.
Shake the Empala bottle well before opening so the suspension is evenly mixed.
Measure the right dose based on the crop using the dosage table.
Pour the measured liquid into a small amount of clean water and stir well to make a pre-mix.
Add this pre-mix into the spray tank, then top up with the rest of the water (150 to 200 L per acre).
Stir or shake the tank again to keep the suspension uniform throughout the spray.
Use a knapsack or power sprayer with a fine nozzle for even coverage on the crop.
Spray on both the upper and lower sides of leaves, and on the fruiting parts where larvae usually hide.
Rinse the sprayer thoroughly with clean water once the work is finished.
Spray Emamectin Benzoate 1.5% + Fipronil 3.5% SC during the cool hours of the day, in the early morning or late evening when the wind is calm. Avoid spraying during full bloom to protect bees, and apply at the first appearance of pests or egg masses on the leaves.
Frequency of Application: One well-timed spray of Emamectin Benzoate 1.5% + Fipronil 3.5% SC per pest cycle is usually enough. A repeat spray can be done after 10 to 15 days if pest pressure stays high, but not more than 2 to 3 times per season.
Re-Entry Period: Stay out of the treated field for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Compatibility: Emamectin Benzoate 1.5% + Fipronil 3.5% SC is compatible with most fungicides and micronutrients. Avoid mixing with strong alkaline products or Bordeaux mixture. Always do a small jar test first.
Shake the Empala bottle thoroughly each time before measuring the dose, as the suspension may settle during storage.
Avoid spraying within 30 metres of beehives, ponds, streams, or fish farms — the product is toxic to honeybees and aquatic life.
Wear chemical-resistant gloves and goggles while opening the bottle and pouring the concentrate to avoid splashing on skin or eyes.
Do not let grazing animals like cows, goats, or sheep enter the sprayed field for at least 48 hours after spraying.
Check the sprayer hose, joints, and nozzles for any leaks before starting work to avoid waste and drift.
If the product is swallowed by mistake, do not try to make the person vomit. Take them straight to the doctor along with the pack label.
After spraying, rinse the sprayer with soap and water three times before using it for any other spray.
Store Empala in its original sealed bottle in a cool, dry, shaded place away from the sun.
Keep the product separate from food, animal feed, seeds, and drinking water at all times.
Always keep Emamectin Benzoate 1.5% + Fipronil 3.5% SC out of reach of children, pets, and farm animals.
