Dhanuka Dhanutop is a selective, pre-emergence herbicide that provides a systemic mode of action. It works by interfering with the formation of microtubules during cell division, stopping weed growth. The Dhanutop herbicide is safe to use and provides long-lasting effects for the best results. It is easy to use due to its liquid formula, making it suitable for beginners and experts alike.
Key Features and Benefits of Dhanuka Dhanutop Herbicide:
Pre-Emergent: Dhanutop herbicide forms a chemical layer on top of the soil, stopping weeds from germinating.
Effective Working: Dhanuka Dhanutop herbicide prevents cell division and elongation, killing the weed quickly.
Prolonged Effects: This herbicide offers long-lasting effects with its residual activity ensuring effective results.
Broad-Spectrum: The Dhanuka Dhanutop herbicide is effective against a wide range of annual and broadleaf weeds.
Safe to Use: Dhanuka Dhanutop herbicide has selective properties as it does not affect crops while targeting the weeds.
Better Germination: This herbicide improves crop germination by eliminating the need for nutrient competition.
Dhanutop Herbicide Uses — Target Weeds and Crops:
Dhanutop herbicide covers both grassy and broadleaf weed management across all registered crops:
Annual Grassy Weeds: Echinochloa spp. (Barnyard Grass), Digitaria spp. (Crabgrass), Brachiaria spp., Eleusine indica (Goosegrass), Setaria spp.
Broadleaf Weeds: Amaranthus spp. (Pigweed), Portulaca oleracea (Purslane), Chenopodium spp., Trianthema portulacastrum (Horse Purslane)
Registered Crops: Soybean, Cotton, Wheat, Groundnut, Sunflower, Potato, Pigeon Pea, Tomato, Cabbage, Carrot, Onion, and other vegetable and field crops
Dhanuka Dhanutop Dose — Crop-Wise Recommended Dose:
Apply Dhanutop herbicide after sowing and before crop emergence — always incorporate lightly into the soil with irrigation or rainfall for the best barrier formation and weed control results.
The Dhanutop herbicide dose per litre equivalent for foliar soil spray is 3.3–5 ml per litre of water, applied to the soil surface as a uniform broadcast spray.
Crop | Target Weeds | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | Timing |
Soybean | Annual Grasses, Broadleaf Weeds | 1.0–1.5 litres | 75–112 ml | After sowing, before crop emergence |
Cotton | Annual Grasses, Broadleaf Weeds | 1.0–1.5 litres | 75–112 ml | After sowing, before crop emergence |
Wheat | Annual Grasses, Broadleaf Weeds | 1.0–1.5 litres | 75–112 ml | After sowing, before crop emergence |
Groundnut | Annual Grasses, Broadleaf Weeds | 1.0–1.5 litres | 75–112 ml | After sowing, before crop emergence |
Sunflower | Annual Grasses, Broadleaf Weeds | 1.0 litre | 75 ml | After sowing, before crop emergence |
Potato | Annual Grasses, Broadleaf Weeds | 1.0–1.5 litres | 75–112 ml | After planting, before emergence |
Pigeon Pea | Annual Grasses, Broadleaf Weeds | 1.0 litre | 75 ml | After sowing, before crop emergence |
Vegetables (General) | Annual Grasses, Broadleaf Weeds | 0.75–1.0 litre | 56–75 ml | After transplanting or sowing |
How to Use Dhanuka Dhanutop Herbicide:
Measure the required dose of Dhanutop herbicide as per the crop-wise dose table above.
Add the measured quantity to the sprayer tank half-filled with clean water and mix well before topping up.
Fill with the remaining water — use 200 litres of water per acre for uniform soil coverage.
Spray as a directed, uniform broadcast application over the entire soil surface immediately after sowing — before the crop emerges.
Use a flat fan nozzle for even soil coverage — ensure no area is missed as untreated patches allow weed flushes to establish.
Apply when the soil surface is moist or follow the application immediately with light irrigation to help the herbicide incorporate into the top 2–3 cm of soil.
Do not disturb the soil surface after application — deep ploughing or hoeing breaks the chemical barrier and reduces efficacy.
Rinse all sprayer equipment thoroughly with clean water after use.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply Dhanuka Dhanutop within 3 days of sowing — before any weed seeds germinate and before the crop emerges from the soil. Always ensure adequate soil moisture at the time of or shortly after application for the chemical barrier to activate properly.
Frequency of Application and Re-Entry Period:
Frequency of Application: One pre-emergence application per season is generally sufficient for season-long weed suppression. A post-emergence herbicide from a different HRAC group may be used if late-emerging weeds appear after the residual period ends.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 12 hours after application. Allow the spray to settle and dry fully before re-entry without protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Dhanutop herbicide is generally applied as a standalone soil spray. Consult the label or a certified agronomist before mixing with other herbicides. Always perform a jar test before combining with any unfamiliar product.
Important Notes:
Do not apply on sandy soils with low organic matter — the herbicide may leach into the root zone and cause crop damage.
Do not apply pre-emergence in Brassica crops (Mustard, Canola) — Dhanuka Dhanutop can be phytotoxic to Brassica species at this stage.
Do not incorporate the herbicide deeper than 3–4 cm — deep incorporation reduces efficacy by diluting the surface barrier.
Safety Precautions and Handling:
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Dhanutop herbicide.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during mixing or application.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes — rinse immediately with clean water for 15 minutes if contact occurs.
Do not allow spray drift onto neighbouring crops, as Dhanuka Dhanutop can cause damage to sensitive crops if contacted.
Keep children, pets, and livestock away from treated fields for at least 12 hours.
Wash all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after every spray session.
Triple rinse empty containers, puncture, and dispose of per local waste guidelines.
