Bayer Bicota Insecticide is specifically registered for use in transplanted paddy (rice) against major paddy pests:

Apply Bayer Bicota Insecticide by direct broadcast into paddy fields with standing water (2 to 5 cm depth).

Water Level: Maintain 2 to 5 cm standing water in the field at the time of application.
Timing: Apply at 15 to 25 days after transplanting (DAT), when pest activity is just beginning.
Ensure the paddy field has a shallow standing water level of 2 to 5 cm.
Wear gloves and a face mask before opening the Bayer Bicota Insecticide pack.
Measure the required quantity — usually one full pack per acre.
Broadcast the granules by hand or with a granule spreader, walking evenly across the field.
Distribute the granules uniformly — avoid dumping in one spot as it can damage the crop locally.
Do not drain the field water for at least 3 to 5 days after application, so the granules dissolve slowly and reach the roots.
Do not disturb the standing water immediately after application.
Apply Tetraniliprole 0.4% + Fipronil 0.6% GR 15 to 25 days after transplanting (DAT) — when the paddy seedlings have established, tillering is starting, and pest activity is just beginning. Early application of Tetraniliprole 0.4% + Fipronil 0.6% GR gives maximum residual protection, covering the critical crop period from tillering to panicle initiation stage.
Frequency: Only 1 application per crop cycle — the long residual of 30 to 45 days means a single dose is enough for the paddy critical period.
Compatibility: Tetraniliprole 0.4% + Fipronil 0.6% GR is a stand-alone granular product and does not need tank-mixing. If additional pest pressure occurs later, spray-type products can be used, but do not broadcast additional Bicota in the same season.
