Bayer Acerbo fungicide is a broad-spectrum, dual-mode systemic fungicide. It is effective against sheath blight, leaf and neck blast, among other fungal diseases. This fungicide works by halting the electron transport chain and binds to the waxy outer layer of the plant leaf for long-lasting, weather-resistant protection. Bayer Acerbo offers long-lasting protection with complete crop protection, while being highly versatile.
Complete Protection: Bayer Acerbo fungicide moves systemically through the plant and has translaminar coverage for uniform application.
Rainfast Application: Acerbo is absorbed rapidly into plant tissue and cannot be washed away easily by the rain.
Prolonged Activity: Bayer Acerbo fungicide provides 15–21 days of residual disease control per application, reducing frequent applications.
Dual Application: This fungicide can be used for preventive and curative applications, making it highly versatile.
Broad-Spectrum: Bayer Acerbo is effective against blast, powdery mildew, anthracnose, etc.
Acerbo fungicide uses cover three specific diseases across three registered crops:
Crop | Target Diseases |
|---|---|
Rice / Paddy | Sheath Blight (Rhizoctonia solani), Leaf Blast, Neck Blast (Magnaporthe oryzae) |
Chilli | Powdery Mildew (Leveillula taurica), Anthracnose (Colletotrichum spp.) |
Onion | Purple Blotch (Alternaria porri) |
The Acerbo fungicide dose per litre is 1–1.5 ml per litre of water — equivalent to 15 ml per 15L pump and 150–200 ml per acre in 150–200 litres of water.
Crop | Target Disease | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Rice / Paddy | Sheath Blight, Leaf and Neck Blast | 150–200 ml | 15 ml | 32 days |
Chilli | Powdery Mildew, Anthracnose | 150–200 ml | 15 ml | 5 days |
Onion | Purple Blotch | 150–200 ml | 15 ml | 30 days |
Read the label instructions fully before measuring and mixing Acerbo fungicide.
Shake the bottle of Bayer Acerbo fungicide well before measuring — SC formulations settle on standing.
Measure 1–1.5 ml of Acerbo fungicide per litre of water required — 15 ml per 15L pump.
Mix the measured quantity into the half-filled sprayer tank and fill with the remaining water before spraying.
Apply as a uniform foliar spray — cover all plant surfaces including upper and lower leaf surfaces, stems, and the neck zone in Rice for complete disease interception.
Apply Bayer Acerbo fungicide preventively at the start of the disease-risk period, or at the very first sign of disease for early curative use.
Allow at least 2 hours of dry weather after application before any rain — this is the minimum window for the rainfast mechanism to activate.
Wear proper safety gear — gloves, mask, and goggles — throughout mixing and application.
Apply Bayer Acerbo fungicide in the early morning or late evening. For Rice Sheath Blight, apply at the tillering and booting stages when canopy humidity peaks. For Chilli Powdery Mildew and Anthracnose, begin spraying when the first signs of white powdery growth or fruit lesions appear.
Frequency of Application: Apply at the first sign of disease or as a preventive spray at critical growth stages. Bayer Acerbo fungicide provides 15–21 days of residual protection — repeat as needed during active disease pressure. Do not exceed 2–3 applications per season. Always rotate Acerbo fungicide with products from different FRAC groups after 2 consecutive sprays.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Acerbo fungicide can generally be integrated into existing crop protection programmes. Avoid mixing with strongly alkaline products. Always do a jar test before combining with unfamiliar inputs. Avoid application near water bodies — toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Bayer Acerbo fungicide.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke while mixing or applying the product.
Avoid direct skin and eye contact — wash immediately with plenty of clean water if contact occurs.
Toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates — do not spray near water bodies, rivers, or fish ponds.
Keep Acerbo fungicide away from children, animals, food, and water sources.
Wash hands properly after every application.
For agricultural and gardening use only. Dispose of empty containers per local guidelines.
