EBS Pyro Pyriproxyfen 10% EC is a highly effective insect growth regulator (IGR) insecticide designed to control immature stages of sucking insect pests. Pyriproxyfen 10% EC insecticide prevents nymphs and larvae from developing into reproductive adults while reducing egg hatchability. This results in long-lasting suppression of pest populations and minimizes crop damage. Pyriproxyfen 10% EC is suitable for cotton, vegetables, fruits, ornamentals, and horticultural crops. EBS Pyro insecticide promotes healthier plants, improves crop quality, and supports higher yields through effective pest management.
Key Features and Benefits of Pyriproxyfen 10% EC:
Reduces Pest Population: Pyriproxyfen 10% EC interferes with the normal development of eggs and nymphs, preventing further pest reproduction.
Long-lasting: The Pyriproxyfen 10% EC insecticide lasts for a longer period and reduces the frequency of application.
Translaminar Activity: The formulation translocates to all parts of the crop, reaching pests present on the lower surface of treated leaves.
Resistance Management: As an IRAC Group 7C insecticide, it can be rotated with products from different mode-of-action groups.
Pyriproxyfen 10% EC Uses:
Pyriproxyfen 10% EC Dose Per Litre:
For best results, apply the Pyriproxyfen 10% EC insecticide as a uniform foliar spray during the early stage of sucking-pest infestation.
Crop | Target Pest | Dose / Acre | Per Litre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
Cotton | Whitefly | Approx. 200 ml | 1 ml | 15 ml | 50 days |
Chilli | Whitefly, aphids | Approx. 200 ml | 1.67 ml | 25 ml | 7 days |
Brinjal | Whitefly, jassids | Approx. 200 ml | 1.67 ml | 25 ml | 7 days |
Okra | Whitefly, jassids | Approx. 200 ml | 1.67 ml | 25 ml | 7 days |
How to Use EBS Pyro Insecticide:
Inspect the crop for whiteflies, aphids, jassids, eggs, and nymphs.
Shake the container properly before measuring.
Fill the spray tank partly with clean water.
Measure the required quantity of Pyriproxyfen 10% EC.
Add the product while stirring continuously.
Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly.
Spray uniformly, especially on the underside of leaves where immature sucking pests are commonly found.
Best Time to Apply:
Apply the Pyriproxyfen 10% EC insecticide when sucking pests first appear, and the population of eggs or nymphs is still low. Early morning or late evening is suitable for foliar application. Good coverage of the underside of leaves is important for effective pest management.
Frequency of Application and Re-entry Period:
Frequency of Application: If another spray is required, maintain about 10–15 days between applications and avoid more than two sprays in one crop where the product recommendation specifies this.
Re-Entry Period: Allow treated foliage to dry before workers or farm animals enter the sprayed crop.
Compatibility: The Pyriproxyfen 10% EC insecticide can be included in an integrated pest-management programme. Check compatibility before tank mixing with another crop-protection product.
Safety, Precautions and Handling:
Wear gloves, mask, protective eyewear, full-sleeve clothing, and closed footwear.
Avoid contact with the eyes, skin, and mouth.
Do not inhale spray mist during application.
Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew while spraying.
Do not exceed the recommended Pyriproxyfen 10% EC dose.
Prevent the spray solution from entering ponds, rivers, canals, or other water sources.
Wash hands, exposed skin, clothes, and spraying equipment after application.
