Bayer Confidor is a broad-spectrum insecticide that offers a systemic mode of action against pests like jassids, thrips, aphids, whiteflies, and other pests. This works by acting as an antagonist on the insect nervous system, causing irreversible nerve signal blockage, which leads to over-stimulation, paralysis, and the death of target pests. The Bayer Confidor insecticide can be used on a wide range of crops and provides long-lasting protection for the best results.
Prolonged Effects: Confidor insecticide delivers 10–14 days of extended residual pest control from a single spray, reducing frequent uses.
Broad-Spectrum: Bayer Confidor controls Aphids, Jassids, Thrips, and many other pests in a single application.
Low Application: The Confidor insecticide offers effective protection at low doses, making it very cost-efficient as well.
High Compatibility: This insecticide mixes well with most commonly used insecticides and fungicides for increased efficacy.
Easy to Use: The Bayer Confidor insecticide can be mixed easily with water and applied for simple application due to its liquid form.
Confidor insecticide uses cover sucking pests, leaf miners, beetles, and termites across a wide range of registered and recommended crops:
Sucking Pests: Aphids, Jassids, Thrips, Whiteflies, Brown Plant Hopper (BPH), White-Backed Plant Hopper (WBPH), Green Leaf Hopper (GLH), Mango Hopper, Citrus Psylla
Other Pests: Leaf Miners, Termites, Flea Beetles
Registered Crops: Cotton, Paddy (Rice), Chilli, Sugarcane, Mango, Sunflower, Okra, Citrus, Groundnut, Grapes, Tomato
The Confidor Dosage Per Litre is 0.5 ml per litre of water — equivalent to 7.5 ml per 15L pump and 50–100 ml per acre in 200 litres of water across all registered crops.
Crop | Target Pest | Dose Per Acre | Per 15L Pump | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Cotton | Aphids, Jassids, Thrips, Whiteflies | 50–75 ml | 7.5 ml | 21 days |
Paddy / Rice | BPH, WBPH, GLH | 50–100 ml | 7.5 ml | 14 days |
Chilli | Jassids, Thrips, Aphids, Whiteflies | 50–75 ml | 7.5 ml | 7 days |
Mango | Mango Hopper, Leaf Miner | 50–100 ml | 7.5 ml | 21 days |
Other Registered Crops | As per label | 50–100 ml | 7.5 ml | As per label |
Read the label instructions carefully before measuring Confidor insecticide.
Measure 0.5 ml of Bayer Confidor per litre of water — 50–100 ml per acre in 200 litres of water.
Add the measured quantity to the sprayer tank half-filled with clean water and mix well before filling to the required volume.
Agitate the tank well to form a uniform spray solution before starting to spray.
Apply as a foliar spray using a flat fan or hollow cone nozzle — ensure thorough and uniform coverage of all plant surfaces.
Apply at the first sign of sucking pest activity — early application stops pest colony establishment before populations reach damaging levels.
Spray during early morning or late afternoon — avoid peak bee foraging hours as Bayer Confidor is toxic to bees and pollinators.
Wash hands and all exposed skin with soap and water thoroughly after every spray session.
Apply Confidor insecticide in the early morning or late afternoon on a calm, non-rainy day. For Paddy, begin when BPH populations reach 5–10 hoppers per hill. For Cotton and Tomato, apply at the first sign of Jassid or Whitefly colonies on young leaves and growing points.
Frequency of Application: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation. Bayer Confidor provides 10–14 days of residual protection per application. Do not exceed 2 consecutive applications per season — always rotate Confidor insecticide with products from different IRAC groups after the maximum consecutive spray window.
Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated fields for at least 24 hours after spraying without proper protective gear.
Tank-Mix Compatibility: Confidor insecticide is compatible with most conventional insecticides and fungicides. Always conduct a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products. Avoid mixing with highly alkaline inputs.
Wear gloves, goggles, and a face mask before handling or spraying Bayer Confidor.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke while mixing or applying the product.
Avoid direct skin and eye contact — wash immediately with plenty of clean water if contact occurs.
Toxic to bees and pollinators — avoid spraying during active bee foraging hours, near beehives, or on flowering crops.
Keep Confidor insecticide away from children, animals, food, and water sources.
Wash hands properly after every application.
